"Celebrity marriages. They never last, do they?" I adore this line, and Farquaad's defeat is immensely satisfying!
Yes indeed. A classic.
Funny, and mostly true.
To me, the most satisfying villain defeat belongs to the greatest DreamWorks villain: Lord Shen. He weaponozed fireworks, massacred Po's village, reigned fear on Gongmen City, and killed his own second in command for refusing to shoot his own men. Eventually, though, his attempt to rule over China is undone, by the warrior of black and white. Refusing to let go of the past as Po had, the deposed peacock prince tries to finish him off, cutting the ropes that keep his creation from crushing him. He was his own undoing and, in his final few seconds, finally accepted his fate. Ironic and poetic.

Not gonna lie. Shen’s defeat in Kung Fu Panda 2 really should have been on here.

What about Pitch Black from Rise of the Guardians? You can't deny that being dragged into your lair by your fears is a pretty gruesome defeat.
Could've included:
Rumpelstiltskin losing his goose
DuBois going to Madagascar
Makunga dealing with the old lady
Margot turning back into a regular wolf or Dr. Emilia being forced to play with Fun Guy (even if Kipo and the Age of Wonderbeasts isn't a movie)
Feeling Big Jack Horner should be mentioned too.
Not to mention:
Professor Marmalade goes down like the bad guy he really is. "The Bad Guys" (He tries to frame the bad guys for stealing the meteorite and robbing his own charities, but gets outwited and sent to prison after he's framed for being the Crimson Paw)
Big Jack Horner's wish doesn't come true "Puss in Boots: The Last Wish" (He sacrifices his Henchmen, called the Baker's Dozen, to get him to the Wishing Star; but even his bottomless bag of magic items couldn't help him get it.
Jack and Jill feel the Giant Goose's wrath by getting stomped on by it "Puss in Boots"
Lord Shen gets defeated by Po, the very enemy who stood in his way to conquering the valley of peace (Kung Fu Panda 2)

The defeats of these DreamWorks villains weren't just satisying but also well deserved! Just about the same as any other villain in an animated film.

Preach, next to Disney, they played a vital role in shaping my childhood.
I'll say that every time I watched Spirit make that risky leap of faith and saw the Colonel allowing him and Little Creek go, I just couldn't help but feel shocked (in a good way)and pleased the leap paid off for the duo
Why wasn’t Professor Marmalade on the list? Even though everyone thinks he’s the Crimson Paw, he definitely earned his defeat.

I liked how in “Monsters Vs Aliens” Gallaxhar went down with his own ship when his escape pod malfunctions and the entire ship self-destructs sending him to his grave.
Nice to see them doing something for an animated movie company… other than Disney.
What about lord shen?
He tried so hard the entire movie to escape his fate his fate but when his fate Finally came, he accepted it and died, knowing that he has failed and must now accept it. It‘s very poetic and interesting
Spirit will always give me chills with the nonverbal end between enemies
Whereas Sinbad is more like saying "To be continued..."
And, of course, Dragon is queen of defeating villains in the best way possible.
DreamWorks animation is phenomenal. Prince of Egypt and Sinbad are those instances, and I wish future animated films goes back to that style.
I wish that too, for 2D hand drawn animation is the true magic of creation. I even wish we had more of Don Bluth's animated movies around also.
Spirit is a criminally underrated movie
To me, Eris’ defeat was the most satisfying because she knew he was right. The look on her face after Sinbad said, “And wasn’t there something about being bound for all eternity,” was the icing on the cake. She had to give the book back, and the glowing cross/X she made over her heart? *chef’s kiss*
I think Jack Horner should have been on this list as well. His defeat was really satisfying to watch
“Skadoosh” is probably my favorite line from Po in Kung Fu Panda
I'm disappointed the mares smelling Pitch's fear didn't make the cut.
I always found Manndible’s demise quite satisfying. Greedy, cruel and fear of weakness. Leading his own soldier ants to their deaths and attempting to kill the queen and her colony and taking the princess for himself. It was nice to see his leadership and his plans fall down hill. (No pun intended)

I think my favourite defeat of a villain in dream works is from Kung Fu panda 2. Not only because Shen is one of the greatest villains of all time in animation, but because throughout the film his main arc was him trying to escape his fate, by killing the panda and later trying to kill and stop Po and the furious five. In the end, he sealed his own fate by accidentally cutting the ropes that was holding the cannon in place whilst fighting Po. But instead of trying to escape his death when he saw the cannon fall, he finally decided to accept his fate and closed his eyes accepting his death and perhaps finding peace. Plus Po using inner peace to deflect those cannonballs and the last one turning into the Ying and Yang symbol before firing it at Shen and his army was also stunning and amazing to watch. ❤
We need more satisfying defeats and deaths in future Dreamworks movies, so we must hope that the mermaid in Ruby Gillman won’t just redeem like that! We’re insisting on forgiving far too much! (Also I hate it when villains get redeemed just because their still young! Young villains can die too and queen bees deserve to crash and burn with no second chances!)
DreamWorks' last two villains haven't been redeemed. One went to jail and the other was sucked into oblivion.

Alongside legends like Jeremy Irons, Tim Curry, Gary Oldman, Jude Law - Rise of the Guardians - and Tony Jay.
Whether Disney or other, there are animated movies that get it damn right with villains' voice actors.

YESSSSS! Loved seeing Farquaad getting eaten. But one Honorable Mention I wished for was Drago from "How to Train Your Dragon 2." That was sweet too...especially after all that happened!

It's Captain Chantel Dubois, but yes, her defeat sent on Madagascar after being defeated by Alex and the gang, was really satisfying.

Why wasn't Marmalade on this list? The most satisfying part of his defeat was the look on his face when the meteor (and his house) blew up.
I like MADAGASCAR, ANTZ, CHICKEN RUN, and the honorable mentions of MEGAMIND, TURBO, and WALLACE & GROMIT.
I also love SHARK TALE, HOW TO TRAIN YOUR DRAGON, THE PRINCE OF EGYPT, the SHREK franchise, and the honorable mention of KUNG FU PANDA.

It's not on the list but Jack Horners death in Puss in Boots 2 was extremely satisfying. He was more than willing to let all his loyal servents die, threatened to shoot a puppy in the face and wanted to claim all the magic in the world for himself just because he got stood up by Pinocchio. Watching him get blown up with the wishing star was oh so satisfying

As for some satisfying Dreamworks villain defeats I like would be the defeat of Marmalade from The Bad Guys and Big Jack Horner from Puss In Boots the Last Wish.
I enjoy Rameses and the Egyptians downfall from Prince Of Egypt, I really do sympathize with the pharaoh to losing everything and of course the brother he loves.

The villain is the hero of their own story.
Here's how I rank the Shrek movies: Shrek 2 is the best, then Shrek 4, Shrek 3, & Shrek 1 last. I know a lot of people say Shrek 3 is the worst, but I feel Shrek is too unlikable in the 1st film & Lord Farquad isn't as greta a villain as the others.

In my opinion, the gingerbread man interigation scene is the best scene in the movie. I constantly say, “Run run as fast as I can. You can’t catch me I’m the Gingerbread Man!! It's hard for me to see the Red Death as a villain when it was just an animal following its natural instinct for both food and survival. It is a great movie, but I think HTTYD's true villain was ignorance.
Sometimes I think Dreamworks gets overlooked but they have great movies with awesome characters.
