Rivals Mortal Kombat as one of the greatest, many hours spent standing at the arcade playing soul calibar years upon years now lol. Did I say arcade, how old am I haha. Mitsurugi was always one of my favs like voldoo.

@@tgo007 soulcalibur is very balance and every character is viable but voldo is on the lower side compared to azwel. Yuttoto is the only voldo player to consistently do well with him.

Those 2 specofically are passionate about Soul so I understand their hype. It was also Grand Finals. Commentators bring part of the hype in these situations

Yes. Easy to learn mechanics, deep customization. If you're more technical and like to study go for Tekken. If you want something simpler but still want an extremely fun fighter, get soul Calibur.
Hate to be that guy, but I just can't help caring more about Azwel losing than about a Voldo winning. Fully convinced nobody truely likes Azwel - except maybe Oofmatic. They just want it easier than you can get it with any other character.

It had 700+ entrants. EVO just wanted to give them the prime slot on Friday. They're running 4 Top 8's today. And 4 on Sunday. Plus BlazBlue X Tag has less entrants than Soul Calibur, but they have a Sunday slot. Probably because they have an announcement planned.
