Damn, Haohmaru. You made Genjuro lose his sword like EVERYTIME but couldn't punish right and he would get his sword back almost with no problem. I think that was a big issue for the japanese guy.
His problem was he kept disarming him, in the corner of the stage. The weapon doesn't go far then. He'd of been better off saving those attacks mid screen where he could deny him getting it back so easy.

Just some people will know 😉 that after this fight, just before Genjuro is going to Kill Haohmaru, he gets stabbed in the back by a kid searching for revenge, and later he dies from the injury, Haohmaru often visits and pays respect to Genjuro's tomb.
Samurai Shodown is a calculated game. Mistakes are punished severely. Not something for those who've button-pressed two hundred times and only took out half the opponent's HP bar.
@@OuterRaine Anyone who cannot get through projectile spamming does not deserve to play a game that offers such a strategy. Tons of whiffing attacks? then don't be reckless by face-rolling on the buttons hoping that it would somehow hit eventually. So far, I find Tekken and SamuSho highly stimulating compared to other games that allows one to air-combo opponents for half a minute straight which is more like an exercise in memorization. Which is why games like MvC is so irksome to watch.

Practically, Genjuro is not the stronger character than Haohmaru in more aggressive skills but the Korean player might have reached the game master's level to control his Genjuro character. He showed me well-trained skills to Genjuro control in the match.
I wish they put some Balance changes out before Evo but as it is Genjuro in the right hands is just too OP,Kazunoko played some amazing games like Vs Justine Wong and for me was more skilled and deserved it even more he just seemed to not know what to do with genjuro and the infiltration game style.
Samurai Showdown by far had the best grand finals, it had SF4 vibes. Infiltration has won so many times from the losers side im starting to think he does it on purpose now
The game was advertised as being more strategical due to its very slow pacing in the West...These champions are making it look so high octane, as if it was sped up.
The game looks amazing. The strategy is still here, very much so. Reminds me a lot of the 3D fighters like Soul Calibur, where it can have its fast paced adrenaline, but it boils down to the strategy. Thats what is so appealing to these games.
It's the SDL-301, but it's the version with the quick release shaft. I have the same thing on my stick and it lacks the black shaft cover that's on the original Infiltration lever.
Yeah, probably still has to do with his old courtcase regarding the domestic abuse charges, even though he was found innocent. They'd rather not risk it.
I can't quite put my finger on it but there's something about this year's Evo that is just....okay. that said it's nice seeing a franchise like samurai showdown get new life
Nice to see a fighting game more focused on reactions and punishes rather than massive combo strings, fresh change of pace.
I miss SFIV, this feels like a return to that sort of neutral/conditioning/mind games focused gameplay.
