Thank you so much, Jayda! After 7 children and 19 grandchildren, my first great grandchild - a boy - is arriving in September! This blanket will be such a joy to make! 🧶
As I watched your tutorial, the game of Twister flew into my mind. So, I thought of a blanket of rows of red, blue, yellow, and green dots on a uniform background. It wouldn't make such a bad looking blanket I think. Thank you Jayda for yet another perfect tutorial. I really liked it because it's fairly straightforward to crochet. Looking forward to Part 2. 🙂
Great video. I have a friend who wants to learn to crochet in the round. I think your video will help with that. I’m looking forward to seeing the blanket video! Thanks for your sharing your time and talent.
I'm making NICU blankets for my local children's hospital as a project this year. Donating at the end of the year. 12 blankets. This will definitely be one!
Hi Jayda, thank you very much. I’m going to make a large to small circle in a square blanket. You’ve given us all the tools. I love your Halloween grannies on Etsy. I bought a few. You have taught me well. Again, thank so very much.
Cutest idea ever! Quick and portable project. Thank you for your excellent teaching/demonstration. Will be using your pattern in our church Ministry for the local hospital!
I wanted to thank you for introducing this yarn to me. It is so easy to work. I am now working on two crochet projects now because the polka dot blanket gives me a break from the very fiddly vintage hexagon blanket. Always learn something new from you.
Thank you Jayda...needed another square design for my granny sweater. Using Lion Brand feels like butta! Loving it so far. This could become my go to baby blanket next time I have a need to gift one. Great tutorial.✌
Wonderful! You might find a slightly smaller hook could help if you feel your stitches are a little thin or "gappy" and your squares might work up a bit smaller, but otherwise, the pattern works just perfectly with DK too 💗
Hi jayda what a gorgeous cute baby blanket this will be I love the circle in the square .it looks gorgeous in the pink and cream.i think it would look lovely in a lot of colours too.thanks so much 💙💝💙💝
Thank you for this beautiful blanket Jayda I love making blankets along with you , your instructions are always so clear to follow as well as fun 👌amanda xx🌸💕
Thank you, Jayda. You are the best teacher! Your polka dot square is exactly what I wanted for my new temp blanket. I wanted a 4 inch so I did only 2 rounds and then your method for squaring and then a border of hdc or 2 rounds of sc for additional color/weather details. I tweaked it for those false stitches by using some standing stitches for joining new colors. Also will use your ladder stitch joining of my 70 squares (7 x 10). Thank you for inspiring me!
Just love this idea for a blanket! I also love pound of Love it’s a must keep in my stash at all times! I will be making a few of these soon! Can’t wait for part two! ❤
I like that. The way you show how to do it is so easy. I am going to follow along with you. I actually think I can do this!!! I'm so excited to try it!!!

JAAAAYDAAAAA...LOL I HAVE A QUESTION...on the yarn wrappers there is a triangle and sometimes has an X thru it. I've never been able to figure that symbol out? What does it mean please???💞🙏
Hi Kim! We have a interpretive sheet on those symbols over on the Tools page of our website. It was part of a live stream that we did a while back 😊 I'm pretty sure that's do NOT bleach.
Hi Michelle, that depends on the size of the blanket you want to make. Each of these squares is 6", so you can easily figure out how many you need. If you get a little hung up on math, we have a tutorial on that here: th-cam.com/video/_CpOr3HHUEI/w-d-xo.html
I love this blanket but as I'm making my squares it seems very small. I'm making it for my neighbor that is having a girl. I know I can add more squares if I want to. Just wonder if anyone else thinks it's too small or is it just right?
