I'm just trying to keep up with what you have going on and it looks good. If that little section where you mowed in the field starts growing due to all the rain, you can plow it to create a bare spot and when you mow next to it the seed will blow and fall into the open ground. In my field I went ahead and created three landing strips by plowing and packing the ground across the field in three different areas. It creates openings for the birds to go ahead and start using the field. These will also act as fire breaks if I'm able to burn the field. I can burn it in sections this way.
