    What I only could add to this excellent video is a piece of advice to follow the manual provided after all. Its broken English and the chaotic arrangement were offputting at first, and I decided to follow common sense. Then, I stumbled upon a problem when the assembled arm would still appear too stiff, even with the torque screw fully loosened. The arm would either stay at the lowest possible level, or, when even slightly touched from the bottom, would spring all the way up. I consulted the manual, and spotted a warning saying that the tightening adjustment should be done with the monitor attached, but because the warning was titled 'wall installation' (or something along these lines), and I was not installing it on the wall, I initially disregarded it. After having watched this video, when you adjust the arms with the monitor on it, I tried (without much hope), and it WORKED! So yes, even though it sounds counterintuitive, secure the arm to the table, hang the monitor on it, and THEN adjust the tightness! Thanks!

    Just had this installed thanks to your video! The instruction that came with the box was thrash compared to your in depth tutorial! Question, did you ever experience the monitor wobble issue with this? I am not sure if I installed it correctly but it wobbles slightly when I type on my keyboard and it is annoying me!

    • @traveledventures
      @traveledventures  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Thanks @Riverrattie87! I'm glad this video helped. I found that there is a little bit of play the beginning. I just tightened some of the hardware that was preinstalled. I'd check the base of the mount and also the hardware where the VESA mount is attached (it's the cylinder that adjusts the tilt). I believe I tightened those ones with either a screw driver or the allen key that it came with. Hope that helps.

    • @traveledventures
      @traveledventures  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hey, it should be okay. There's a way to adjust the tension. Is it tilting forward or is it the arm that keeps dropping? At 4:22 on video, you can remove the horizontal plastic cover and tighten the screw if it keeps tilting down. If the actual arm lowers on its own check out 6:34 to adjust tension

    • @traveledventures
      @traveledventures  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hey Andy, I'm sorry to hear that. Only thing I can suggest is that make sure the bottom of that bold you are adjusting isn't spinning with it, the bottom of it should look like a flat head screw. And double check that you turning the right way to tighten it. Might take a few turns before it actually adjusts the tension.

    • @traveledventures
      @traveledventures  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Miguel Plazas it depends how sturdy your desk is. If it’s 25mm solid wood it should be fine. It also depends how heavy your monitor is. If you can put the weight of the monitor on it, then adding the arm should be okay. I’m assuming your desk is 25mm thick but has either support beams or frames? Think of it as weight distributions. If you put it on a big plain plank of 25mm then it won’t be sturdy. If you use the same 25mm with frame or support underneath so it doesn’t sag, then it will be able to support more weight.
