There is a setting in Lightburn that allows you to light the laser at a very low power for centering and outlining the project. Just an FYI … nice review!
curious about your settings. The blue layer was programmed to do only 2 passes at 5mm 100% power but the video showed it doing way more passes. Clarification please. Looking to upgrade my 5.5w laser currently.
I am a newbie with laser engravers and have bought this exact one. It engraves great but I cannot get any new files that I create to cut a shape. Do you have any tips on how to configure lightburn to do so?
ik this is a longshot, My Engraver Got burnt a while back while cutting a bunch of phone stands in wood, the wood caught on fire... Anyways I got all the parts I need besides the red Magnetic Lense/Sheild that attaches to the bottom of the laser module, I want to 3d print one but need to know the dimensions, more specifically just the height of the red shield, I can measure the laser module for the with, but cannot just guess the height because the beam needs to be focused. If anybody can measure the height of the red Sheild with a caliper and tell me how many mm it is i would appreciate it more than you could imagine!!

Yes it can. Most times clear acrylic just needs to be masked. But works like a charm
Any suggestions on how to download the drivers? Light Burn does not find the laser when connected.
You need to make sure you install the right drivers and follow the instructions from creality. It will find it then
This laser can cut 5mm wood no problem?
