I've never really watched horsey training videos until today. Im absolutely shocked how critical and nasty some people are. This is the 4th post in a row where someone had something nasty to say. It will make me never want to post a video. Well done. I enjoyed your video :-)

I have a question that may be really silly - but I always watch gridwork like this and I always wonder how you first put them through it? When I watch this i'm always thinking "what if they stumble in the middle?" Does that happen? How do you introduce this?
    Thanks!

The only wrong thing here, is the noseband is so damn tight.

That horse is ridiculously overbent in the neck and poll. This is called being behind the bit, or 'giving in to the bit', and is a huge issue caused by the rider trying incorrectly to put the horse into frame. This horse shouldn't even be jumping like this due to the fact that he's not even in the correct frame, so his topline hasn't been fully developed yet.

Ella Johns he’s a young horse he’s not going to know how to get on the bit correctly straight away

All I see is an inconsistent position from a young horse still searching for how he needs to hold himself... He is pretty straight and consistent in his speed for a young horse, I dont really see anything wrong here

I am working with a young green horse and I agree with what everyone else has said. My youngster doesn’t quite know yet what I’m asking when I ask him to be on the bit (has since gotten much better) and his go to reaction is to go behind the vertical and curl his nose in. And it’s not like I use any crazy bit either, I just ride him in an egg Butt snaffle. So yes this is just a young horse figuring it out
