Esme and Mikey - The benefits of Speedi-Beet
Esme tells us why she feeds Mikey Speedi-Beet. Speedi-Beet is great for hydration and maintaining condition.
Speedi-Beet is extremely versatile. Feed it in small amounts to overweight horses as a carrier for a multivitamin and mineral supplement or in larger quantities to a poor doer for weight gain, or to a working horse for energy.

Benefits of feeding Fibre-Beet to ulcer prone horses and ponies.
มุมมอง 1.3K2 ปีที่แล้ว
If your horse or pony does have Gastric ulcers, make sure you are feeding good levels of forage. For concentrate feed high fibre and low starch feeds should be the base. Find feeds with alfalfa - naturally high in protein and calcium which can help neutralise the stomach acid and aids in reducing the risk of ulcers developing. Fibre-Beet is a super-fibre conditioning feed formulated to contain ...

What is Cooked Linseed.
มุมมอง 4052 ปีที่แล้ว
Cooked Linseed is a conditioning feed. It has been heat treated to reduce antinutritive factors and nutritive degradation. This improves the digestibility of itself but more importantly can improve the digestibility of protein and fibre in forage-based diets. It provides a quality protein whose amino acid profile is great for skeletal muscle development; it contains those components that suppor...

    Hi, the packet recommends 1-1.5kg per day for maintenance, is that what this means- is dry weight? Im concerned it is too much food, just wanting to double check. I would split it between 2 feeds a day? Thanks

    I agree tat flash seems tight. He is definetly not confortable on some jumps, since he is not streching and arching as much as he could. He seems restrained by not being given enough relieve. Shame. Maybe when he is more relaxed will the rider relax too? Or the other way around :)

      No disrespect but his ears are forward and he’s trying to speed over that’s a good thing if there was discomfort he would be be trying to slow down taking short distance or even opting out like I said no disrespect intended and I hope you have a nice day 😊

    • @SavvyConnemara
      @SavvyConnemara 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@dora_is_daddy2885 Thanks for you polite response, so rare in these days. When I see him standing there, I ask myself, would he be like this if he were in his pasture?. His eye shows much stress and he is making quick movements of agitation. I want relaxation and comfort in my horse. I would not continue with him feeling so stressed. My priority is mental and physical relaxation and a true acceptance of the rider and the aids, not just tolerating. What would happen if she took off the running martingale and the noseband? I just believe it is better to give the horse the freedom to show you where you go wrong. I want feedback from my horse.

    • @gerrycoleman7290
      @gerrycoleman7290 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      I agree completely. When one understands the horse's language (body language) and learns to become an effective communicator with the horse, the discomfort the horse feels is obvious. Horses perform much better when that are confident and comfortable and have a good bond with the rider.

    That horse is ridiculously overbent in the neck and poll. This is called being behind the bit, or 'giving in to the bit', and is a huge issue caused by the rider trying incorrectly to put the horse into frame. This horse shouldn't even be jumping like this due to the fact that he's not even in the correct frame, so his topline hasn't been fully developed yet.

    • @miatreadwell1874

      All I see is an inconsistent position from a young horse still searching for how he needs to hold himself... He is pretty straight and consistent in his speed for a young horse, I dont really see anything wrong here

    • @kdequestrian5471

      I am working with a young green horse and I agree with what everyone else has said. My youngster doesn’t quite know yet what I’m asking when I ask him to be on the bit (has since gotten much better) and his go to reaction is to go behind the vertical and curl his nose in. And it’s not like I use any crazy bit either, I just ride him in an egg Butt snaffle. So yes this is just a young horse figuring it out

    Hi Anna, Beet pulp is a by-product not a waste product. Beet tops are removed on site and the harvested roots are sliced and macerated in hot water (not chemicals!), removing the sugar. Speedi-Beet is a healthy high fibre feed, to find out more about sugar beet please read the 'Beaten to a Pulp' article on our website written by an independent equine nutritionist.

  • @LoveAnimals29
    @LoveAnimals29 11 ปีที่แล้ว

    isn't beet pulp a waste product? isn't it that it is full of chemicals which are used to extract the sugar from the beets? why would we like to feed waste product to our horses?
