Just think if Brent Jones wouldn't have fumbled early on and Keena Turner hangs onto the ball the margin of victory would've been even bigger than 27 points. This 49ers team was masterful on both sides of the ball.

But in all honesty, your win against us was impressive considering the 8 losses bookending it. Plus, we definitely had a “team of destiny” feel after the way we beat you guys to get into the playoffs in week 18 combined with how we beat the Packers the week before. It was heartwrenchIng.

The word UNSTOPPABLE seems quite appropriate for that team though I will always think the ‘84 team was the most balanced offensively and defensively.

49ers can thank the Giants for stinking it up against the Rams in the divisional round. Parcells said it was the worst game he ever coached. Rams had no shot against the 49ers. Giants would have given the Niners a run, but no one was beating SF that year.
The 87 to 90 49ers were just a force to be reckoned with. The 89 49ers the best out of the bunch. Just cruising through the playoffs and put 55 on the Broncos in the Super Bowl. They could have put 70 on them.
This preceded the Super Bowl that turned John Elway into a car salesman.
The Niners' blocking was incredible.
The second best 49er team ever, behind the '84 team and ahead of the '94 team.

No, just in the NFC championship in the 80’s 4 same division matchups: 80 Cowboys at Eagles, 82 Cowboys at Redskins, 86 Redskins at Giants and 89 Rams at 49ers as a example.
And the Bears and Vikes took respective turns missing each other in 87 and 88
