I've been a Lions fan for 40 years and I've always said "If the Lions can't make it to the Super Bowl with Matthew Stafford at quarterback it could be another 50 years before they get there" CONGRATS Stafford, Rams, and their fans.

Yes sir. Now fast forward to this following season. In training camp, Rams cut Blanton, and he is immediately picked up by McVay’s old team, WashDC. Well, I hope he gets to play every game. He did get injured for SB with Rams last year, and there were two other TEs injured ahead of him. So, Rams kept those 2, Higbee and Hopkins, who also did a good job when healthy. It’s fair, I guess.

1st round had some duds (Patriots-Bills, Bucs-Eagles, Rams-Cardinals), but other than that, it's been great.

San Francisco's lack of offensive playmakers finally caught up to them. A very gritty team and fiercely competitive but just a bit too thin on offense.

Everyone counted the 49ers out of playoffs after week 5 and they reached the NFC championship and fought with some serious grit. They should be proud of themselves for that incredible run. As a 49ers fan I definitely am proud of their season.

I'm glad for Matthew Stafford. The guy never complained. I was very impressed during his time with the Detroit Lions. Despite the Lion's not consistently having the right type of roster and depth from over the years, Stafford took ownership of leading the Lions and pulled out some amazing victories with them. From watching this game, quite a few QBs would have been rattled from some critical plays which happened and a few key injuries. But Stafford is solid as he consistently is. Good win.
Well I guess that would mean Aaron Rodgers is a better quarterback still to this day because he's done the same thing except he won at least one Super Bowl with that mediocre team he's been with his whole career

As a 49er Faithful I want to congratulate the Rams. They outplayed us and deserved their great victory. They shut down our usually-dominant run game which was critical for them and something no other team had done up until this game, and they limited our pass rush and passing game enough to earn their victory. They played with fire and heart for all 4 quarters. We just didn't have enough in the tank for all 4 quarters, perhaps from all those road games. Rams also had their injuries, as well, so not an excuse.
Thank you for not being a spoiled sport.
Niners are a very resilient team and made it this far because of that, shows you just how far resilience and never giving up can take you. Much respect to them. Good luck next year, let’s keep the NFC West the best division in football.

The Detroit Lions are a cursed franchise. They didn't lose any Super bowls to get cursed, like Atalnta or Seattle did. Detroit is just destined to lose.

But Stafford was drafted #1 and expected to save the franchise. I'm happy for Stafford but I don't think it's impressive he won on such a loaded Rams team. I had the Bengals coming out of the AFC but I thought GB was going to meet them. Next choice was LA though so this really isn't insanely shocking. Bengals got hot at the right time and LAR did the same even with that loss in 18.

That was closer than I thought. Garapolo played a descent game The last interception was actually a last second wish that hit the receiver in the hands. He threw two touchdowns and played competitively against this good Rams team. Everyone is so critical of Jimmy G. I say that was a great effort by both teams.

Here's my thought on grappo. He makes plays almost any qb could make. He's very average. Good while in the pocket but add pressure and flush him out he cant throw on the run for beans. All in all i see him being replaced and the team that's there are fierce competitors and have carried jimmy along. He seems to do just enough to keep his job. But maybe its time to move on.
that last throw was absolutely terrible idc if a 4th down is coming up after that it’s better than throwing a pick. I don’t care if it hit the receiver in the hands it was still a terrible decision just take the sack at that point instead of just throwing it up with a prayer. I think that throw lost Jimmy his job on the 9ers
@@maxdevlin9091 this is an example of many bad decisions in crunch time. If it's not this specific throw it's the accumulation of them that will have lost him the job. This very well may be the straw that broke the camel's back
@@drewberrynews3875 I wasn't that bad decision. He takes a sack there, the game is basically over, they're looking at 4th and 22 with no timeouts left and 40 seconds on the clock. He would almost definitely throw a INT on the next play in that scenario. If he could have flung that ball out of bounds that would have been better but it also would have been better if the line didn't collapse and someone was open to throw to.
These playoffs were the best I've seen in a decade. Incredible way to end the season. Congrats to all teams for giving us a amazing SHO.

Except Kupp never showed up for Rams under Goff during the last few years. This is the first year Kupp has been healthy for Rams playoffs. He’s always been injured. He’s grown stronger by hitting the weights more and finally he’s able to make it through a NFL season and make a contribution to the Rams.
Cooper is one of the best receivers I saw this season

49ers self destructed on this one. After that dropped interception, the whole momentum shifted to the Rams.
The dropped interception was one but the momentum change was the BOGUS taunting call which put them in range for the TD and then the no delay of game calls😶
And the helmet to helmet late hit for 15 yard penalty also dug them further realy stupid penalties from the 9ers tbh

Pats fan but I've always respected how Stafford would play HIS HEART OUT with the Lions, get blasted every other play and still almost win so many big games while playing on terrible teams.
