Very nice creation Robin! Love the guitar sound at beginning and timing/sound on the bass/bass drum entrance. Echoes of "New Slang" and Death Cab, especially with the "oo-oo" chorus and the E7-->a minor-->G--->F-->F minor-->C sequence. Great voice and unforced style, and great lyrics right away in first verse. I kinda like "I have no illusions" right on the beat as before, but you may have thought that was trite.
Anyway, congratulations! I loved the Vagabond Opera show in Corvallis 11/7 as well : )

I hope that a random man making music from 2002 is both a) not respected due to his lack of originality and b) not allowed in Eurovision because of the genocide enacted by his county’s (who aren’t even in Europe)
Hi Olivia! I appreciate you commenting here. While I don't totally understand your comment, I hear your sentiment. It has been a very strange thing to have a song which I produced in 2012 to happen to have the exact same title as a song entered into the Eurovision contest in such a politically charged way. I wish my song was the same title as a song which was bringing goodwill and cheer, instead of being linked to a song which represents so much pain and suffering. And I hope that people who land here by accident find some chatharsis and joy for a moment amongst all of the chaos in this complex world. May peace find everyone. Warmly, Robin
