- New from Smith & Wesson®'s M&P® line, the M&P® FPC™ 9MM folding carbine.
The M&P FPC is a lightweight, compact, fast-shooting folder equipped with familiar M&P pistol-style controls, M&P interchangeable palmswells, and compatibility with all M&P 15-round, 17-round, and 23-round magazines.
The side-folding mechanism doesn't interfere with optics, folding the gun from 30" to just 16" in length. The compact package comes with a 17-round magazine and two 23-rounders in the stock for quickly reloading without needing extra storage space.

I've been telling people that the sub 2000 OR a gun like the keltec sub 2000 is going to be very popular soon. A way to keep a long gun compact and not have a pistol brace. This looks amazing

I'll get one if I can use my stash of glock mags with it. One of the things that made the kel tec version great was the mag compatibility options.
Make an all-metal version and I'm sold.

That looks amazing. I hope you can quickly offer this in other calibers such as .40, 10mm, and to go along with your new 5.7 pistol...a pistol / carbine combo would rock in any of the modern pistol calibers.

How much is it?
Got mine as fast as I could. After 300 rounds in two shooting sessions I had a few light strikes then nothing. Something going on in the bolt. Firing pin came out upon field strip. The roll pin in the bolt is not capturing the firing pin and retaining it. Love the gun, just want it to work.
Having issues with storing a relatively short long gun is about the only reason to need/have a break-down or folding rifle. Of course, the lock-up securing the hinged parts has to be very solid since it separates major components. I hope this design works well for them. A good 9mm rifle makes an intelligent addition to any sized gun collection.
Yup, this is my favorite gun now. It quickly went from this is cool to wow, this is an important addition everyone should consider
the lock up doesnt need to be precise at all, just stay relatively still....the bolt headspaces off the barrel face. So as long as theyre touching when its fired its fine.

Make one in 10mm and I will buy it. I've been waiting forever for an affordable and reliable 10mm carbine. So many other manufacturers have been outright teasing us with 10mm options then backing out after years of promising. Please please please bring us a 10mm FPC.

I’m not gonna I’m a Glock and Sig guy but smith has been killing it recently. I’ll have to check this out and the metal competitor is at the top of my list.

Why not make an adapter to take Glock mags? You know the same reason the ruger pc carbine sold so well? Not being able to take Glock mags will kill it

They need a full size grip option. If you have a M&P 9mm compact you're set. Both the 15 round pistol magazines and all the magazines that come with FPC will fit either. It you have a full size M&P you're going to be stuck fiddling around with taking the plastic magazine spacer on and off to switch them between the carbine and your pistol.
January 26 Picked one up after Ginger said he liked it, he is not a fan of S&W but like the FPC, late afternoon run to Cabela(Calgary, Alberta, Canada) in and out like a Burger joint, went back later that evening Vortex Spitfire red/Green dot, went back today picked up Vortex Strike fire Red/Green Dot
Want one in 10mm to go with my M&P 2.0 in 10mm. Ruger PC charger with binary trigger, folding brace, and a G19 for the summer. Then a 10mm M&P 2.0 + 10mm FPC for the winter. That's my dream.
I think you are going to sell a ton of these. I'd buy one if I had a M&P pistol.

You 15-22 didn’t used to which is why I bought the Walther Hammerli TAC-R1 which DID and was CA legal.
Of rules change we can always purchase larger (normal) magazines in the future.

Make one that takes Glock mags and I’m all in. I have maybe 5 M&P magazines but easily over 100 Glock mags. I’d be all in on a version that takes Glock mags

I just want the magazines
My concerns with this is will it support accessories/upgrades? An Adjustable stock, Apex Trigger, ect ect. One would assume it would take a standard M&P Apex Trigger but I haven't seen anything saying if they are the same triggers. Also I don't know how keen I am on the polymer stock and what would be a buffer tube. They released their M2.0 COMPETITOR with a aluminum frame then this comes out that all polymer? Wish they would have had this at Shotshow this year so I could have taken a good look at it.

It does have the last round bolt hold open... Maybe Keltec will push out a gen 3

@@mr.adventure6507 A bit less energy in a handgun than any of those. The energy of 30 super carry is between 380, and 9mm, but closer to 9mm.

Yep but ironically the fact that this gun doesn’t come with an adapter option to take Glock mags will kill it
I have to say, I carry M&P, but my PCC has AR control and functionality, albeit with glock mags. I can drop in performance AR trigger and selector switches. The only downfall is plastic upper.

Really wish you guys would have gone with a design more similar to the Ruger 57 carbine and put the thumb safety in a more familiar spot (same as the M&P pistols?) than as an awkward placed cross bolt safety. Was really looking forward to this as a partner to my pistol, but reviews seem to put me off at this moment.

When can we get one in 30 super carry?
I've shot about 700 rounds through my fpc and ive notice hammer marks on my bolt from hitting the fireing pin. Seems to be getting worse is this normal? Is there anything i can do to stop it from getting worse? Ive only shot 115 grain hollow points and 115 grain round nose out of it. No +P anyone else have this problem?
