  • I'm not impressed at all with this Alpicool C20 portable car fridge. As per my testing in a cool garage it took forever to get only to 40°. AND, customer service at Alpicool is nonexistent!
Have you guys had this with your C20 units or possible another of theirs? How did you find Alpicool's customer service if you needed it?

We have the Alpicool C40 and have fairly good luck with them. I say then bc we've had two stop working within 2 years of purchase, but both were replaced under warranty. Our third one is in the mail.

Less than 4 hours to cool that size cooler is excellent to me, I think I'll get one of these as its larger than my Engel cooler and has more features. I would have expected at least 6 hours minimum for items not pre cooled and full like that.

chuck Thanks. Maybe I was expecting too much. BUT, the company has still not gotten back to me. I hope I never need to deal with them for a warranty issue. They are TERRIBLE.

I just noticed a small printed line of information on the inside lid of my Engel cooler.
It said best cooling results are obtained when you load PRE COOLED drinks & food into the cooler before turning it on.

I agree Chuck. But, I wanted to see how it would cool if food was not pre cooled to begin with.

    I have an Engel MD 14F 15 quart cooler/freezer.
Cools to 40 degrees in 30 minutes empty. Longer if full.
Of course it costs over $500 more than the toy cooler in this video.
