From the Recliner Babe...and her Handsome Prince. Ha! Now you are playing in our backyard. You see why we picked Anacortes for our home 24 years ago? Enjoyed watching you both appreciate the places we love.....specially today. It's our 67th anniversary .....we loved starting it with coffee, watching both of you,...and a review of a place we are no longer able to visit. What a treat! Our celebration will be simple....go for a car ride....maybe up Whidby island....lunch at Coupeville.....then enjoy Deception Pass beach to enjoy the sound of the sea while taking photos of the unique structures of the driftwood. Sometimes the treata are in your own backyard after all. Once again your video has inspired us. Remember us on your 69th anniversary .... I know you are going to make it. Surviving "kerfuffles" is a good indication. We still have them!
Happy Anniversary! 🥳 That's beautiful and a testament to your love. 67!! We are blown away you chose to spend your day watching our video and reminiscing about the places along our adventure together. We certainly will remember you when that day comes! It's nice to know that "kerfuffles" are just part of the journey and growth together i marriage ❤️
AND.......thank you for the nice reply. Seems I stand corrected by my Handsome Prince.....this is our 69 th anniversary...NOT our 67th! Whoa, where did those other 2 years go? Looking forward to next years 70th...now THATS a biggie! You are both invited....mark your calendar. 💌 🧙♀️&🧙♂️

My dear sweet adventurous Canadian mother finally settled down with property in Virginia and and if she followed Mr and Mrs Adventure she would say "it thrills me to know that you're still looking for pieces of property to call your own, the world that you've been traveling with will meet you there!❤️
It's Vancouver Island and Victoria is a city (capital of British Columbia) at the southern tip of Vancouver Island. :) Our smaller islands are called the Gulf Islands and all have individual names. Enjoy our coast xo

I thank God for a gorgeous couple like you who keeps on inspiring us to live and enjoy a simple, less complicated life to the fullest. I adore you both. Keep safe always and God bless.
Make sure you check out the eastern side of Washington. Lots of open space! Northeastern part lots of mountains, trees and lakes. Above Spokane lots of national forest land. North of Wenatchee is Leavenworth, a little German village themed town, fun.
A yellow submarine! There is a house that backs one of the trails I walk along that recently Acquired a small yellow submarine in (big enough for a child to sit in) its backyard. Makes me smile every time I pass by.
Sending love 🇺🇸♥️🇨🇦 right back at you from Ontario, Canada. It’s getting cold here now though, and rainy. Beach weather over. Thank you for sharing this beautiful island with us. Oh, you will find a lot of driftwood on the beach on Jekyll Island too if you ever go there. Safe travels lovelies. x
2 Questions for you: 1. How long do you plan on doing the van life? 2. Don't you ever get on each other's nerves being together in such a compact space? Love the videos and always enjoy when the next one comes out. Mike in KC
Glad you like them! 🤗 Yes we spend a ton of time together and have learned how to work together in many ways. Good communication and learning to get through "kerfuffles". We have been nomadic for many years and it's taught us a lot.

@@Mrandmrsadventure I confess I really hope you guys stay and plant some roots. Whether it's summer or winter you are going to have so much fun if you do. The nice part is if you feel like being in a big city you can be in a big city if you feel like being in the middle of nowhere or on a tiny Island all by yourself you can. People really don't care what you do as long as you pick up your trash and turn your music down after 10 p.m. . It's a live-and-let-live state. Despite some of the stuff you see on the news it's a very chill place to hang your hat. And the weather is not too severe either way it's not egg frying hot or ruin your car freezing. Keep us posted. That shell of an A-frame sounds like a great idea. They have a lot of A-frame cabins around Snoqualmie Pass in the middle of the state as well.
Thanks Brittany and Drew. Beautiful people, beautiful place. Love the waves and beach fires. Missing the ocean right now (my most peaceful reflective place). From central BC.
If you ever find a cast iron Petromax Dutch oven, it will keep going for at least two decades maybe more. Mostly found in bushcraft stores, or a Le Creuset which will appreciate in value if you look after it, perfect for outdoor use or on the beach. Le Creuset are expensive, but worth it when cooking with them at least every week. Drew, you should look out for a good Opinel knife, but keep it oiled. Razor sharp blades, safety lock of course, but I can't give you my Medford 'The General'. Best ever made next to that beast, the Medford USMC Fighter Flipper 4.25 I recently bought. Great filming, loved your filming. A lot of work goes into each one. We love you both so much. Brightening our days. Can't thank you enough! ❤️
There are so really made items out there that can stand the test of time. Seems like those kind of items keep becoming fewer and fewer. We love our cast iron pans and use them everyday. They help with conserving water in the van too. 💚
@@Mrandmrsadventure I'm 44 and had my Le Creuset and Petromax 20 years and they still look good, having served me very well down the years. I'm glad your cast iron pans have also been so good. Always have to get our adventure fix during the week from you guys! What a cool little island! We were expecting at any time for you to break out a spot of tea. 😂☕ Love!
Felt the love for the English and 🇨🇦 all the way from Ottawa this morning! Dreaming of a mobile life but ..... four blessings in our life for several more years. A long cry from Sidcup, I'm originating from the south west of 🇬🇧, now Canadian!
We send you more love this morning! No way. We still remember that day we ran to B&Q to gather supplies and scrubbed our new van squeaky clean on the edge of the park in Sidcup just before switching are bags from our rented van to what was then our new UK campervan.
@@Mrandmrsadventure I've been 14 years in Canada but was briefly back in England in early 2017 helping my parents and, yes, had to run to B&Q for supplies myself!
Loved the beauty of the Island and it had such a lush feel to it. My favorite aspect is the driftwood. The sea and salt are great artistic implements that God uses every day to create so much that looks like wonderland. The lavender farm was really interesting...I wish I could have smelled it. My therapist told me to try any cosmetic product that had lavender scent because it helps calm people. I am in love with lemongrass scent. I open all my big windows and turn on my aroma diffuser and blast my entire apt. with it! You wont believe how beautiful my avocado plant is doing...it is exciting to watch it grow. I want to get succulents, 2 types: ones that look like big purple and green flowers, and there is one that has a vine style growth pattern with little green pearls that dangle...so pretty. I bought a decorative little birdcage and the viney succulent would just grow and dangle out from the bars on the cage. I look forward to your videos because of all of your gentle sweet attitudes...so refreshing! Brittany and Drew, I am so thankful God has made you both so nicely and you both care about kindness, peaceful beauty with nature, and your van life disciplines. Inspiration is hard for me these days. I have a rug project and two door wreath projects I want to finish. I love that kerfluffles only make you better...go team Adventure.
So fun to watch this video you guys literally retraced the steps I took four weeks earlier. Sadly the visibility at the lighthouse was low due to the smoke. Everything else brought back such happy memories!! Thanks guys!
ROFL!! Good Moring ... On the draw string issue, safety pen the string to the shorts before you wash them.. :) I learned that from my Hubby's shorts lol and fighting to get the string out.. Awesome Video guys... Love the Adventures...
Tie your sweat pants laces together in a double knot when laundering. Putting safety pins on the ends of the laces helps when you have to thread them back through the waistband! 😁💙💜
I just treasure the San Juan Islands! I have been going to Orcas Island for vacations my entire life, and feel it is home to my soul. If you haven’t made it over there yet, you would love the trails at Moran State Park! Thank you for your message of encouragement, because I long to be there. Also, I have some of those lavender products and they are wonderful. Thank you for sharing your journey! I truly enjoyed this 🌸
In sewing stores and JoAnn stores, you can find this little tool called a bodkin. You can thread your drawstrings through with it, easily. It’s like a long steel rod with a loop on the end.
I enjoyed the adventure. I've never had the chance to visit the Islands so I appreciate the history lesson. One minor correction, and I'm sure you know it, it's Vancouver Island across the water, not Victoria Island. Love that you post on Thursday. Too many great van lifers post on the weekend.
Wish that we could have made it to Victoria Island since we were so close. Thanks for the feedback and this is a way we can differentiate ourselves a bit. Happy Adventure Thursday!
love watching you two. we are washington natives and live on the southern tip of key peninsula and spent last week in olympic national park. just watched your san juan island trip a favorite place
We love watching your videos! Always so positive and uplifting. We are also building a van, but it is taking forever!!! Watching videos like this is what motivates us to keep chugging along. Thanks for sharing!
Not that I frequent them but Cemeteries are known to always have fresh water to maintain shrubbery & plants and will have access for you.Lovely video, I love the smell of lavender, it's one of the best scents there is and it's so beautiful when it's blooming. That's what I love about France, just endless fields of lavender and also that is seems to be growing everywhere, wild and abundant.I thought the Canada border was closed for people entering from the U.S.
Yes, the US-CAN border is still closed. We could only look across the channel at our lovely neighbors to the north. We have had good luck filling at a few cemeteries over the years except for one in Sweden where we didn't check the quality of the water until miles down the road after our refill. We couldn't believe that the water was filled with rust and a horrible taste even-though it looked clean and clear. yuck 🥴 The lavender smell is the best! Croatia and France have the most 💕
Thank you for taking us with you and showing the most amazing places today! Peace Patience and Positivity in this Isolated world of mine. Still in quarantine..... beautiful video 💕
Another grand slam! Beautiful place, great pics and video, matching music and historical info all with friendly tour guides! Thank you!! Just wondering how do you prevent the campfire smoke from triggering any asthma?
What an absolutely amazing video! I am hoping to finally get a van next summer!! I think this destination will be on my to go to list!! So much exploring in the PNW!! I am still in Idaho. Oh and all those English memories made me want to go back and visit my birthplace!! Thanks and all my love to you both! 💕

You two are to handsome and beautiful to do that word. Be pretty now. Lol. Catch ya later, alligators.
You are the "sweetest" couple..! Just love seeing your adventures.. I Do have a question.. how long did it take to get your drone ability dialed in? Did you need to get a license for it? Enjoy the beautiful lands!
Lots of experience and everything I do is manual. No programing or active track stuff. No lic. Probable have from 400+ times. I LOVE RC cars and boats as a kiddo. Good luck with learning. My tip is to find a big open space and practice. 😊
I dropped the ball Mr and Mrs Adventure, I forgot that when you're inspired and make moves to improve the quality of your life that miracles start happening. For the first time in years, I had normal dreams. One of them was awesome and I'll never forget it the second one I don't remember it at all but I woke up knowing that I had another dream and the third one may have been a vision because it was something that I forgot to write on my to do list. And I went through breakfast preparations thinking wow how profound, and before I had a chance to write down the to-do item on my list, I forgot what the dream was about therefore I don't remember what it is I'm supposed to write on my to-do list 🤣🤣 thanks for all your videos, and remind us when it's been 7 years of videos because that's a biblical number
We think of 7's all the time 😍. Thats amazing that your dreaming and having those thought patterns return. Many blessings and sweet dreaming ahead. ☁️😄✨
13:00 Lime was also used by indigenous populations to prepare food. European Immigrant populations in the southern USA copied the Indians in using corn for a major part of their diet. However they did not copy the way the corn was prepared (they left out the lime). This mistake led to Europeans being malnourished. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nixtamalization
So Brittany what you were actually looking at was Vancouver Island not Victoria Island, though you could see the city of Victoria (capital of BC) from there. If you looked really closely, you could see me tossing a bunch of love back at you guys. I have also wondered about the difference between the weather on the Islands vs the mainland. My layman's theory is that the weather systems go over, hit the mountain ranges on the mainland and then drop the water. One of these days I should actually go research it. Thanks for the video yet again, and the deep breath reminder! Take Care!
Yes, we realized we were a bit off on our geography when looking across the channel. What you are describing is the rain shadow effect. That was something I learned in a science of weather class I took years ago. 💚 Taking a deep breath now!

Tie your sweat pants laces together in a double knot when laundering. Putting safety pins on the ends of the laces helps when you have to thread them back through the waistband! 😁💙💜
Great tip! I'm gonna try this next time.
You'll are the best. Love from Western N.C
Thanks for this did bit. Had no idea there was a thing 😊
Glad you are enjoying the beauty of our state! Love the San Juan's. Cycled through them last August. Keep journeying. And sharing with us.❤
I enjoyed the adventure.
Lol he was correcting you and it is not Victoria island it is VANCOUVER island 😊
How did you get onto the island did you take a ferry or something and where did you take it from?
we did! we shared the ferry ride in last week's episode: th-cam.com/video/9oy3MQDfI-c/w-d-xo.html
love watching you two. we are washington natives and live on the southern tip of key peninsula and spent last week in olympic national park. just watched your san juan island trip a favorite place
❤️❤️❤️ love from India

Keep up the great work guys.....love the positivity and we all need it now! Hi again from Ireland. Pat
We love watching your videos! Always so positive and uplifting. We are also building a van, but it is taking forever!!! Watching videos like this is what motivates us to keep chugging along. Thanks for sharing!
Happy to have you watching!
Great video! It looks like a pretty tranquil place. Thanks for sharing, and taking me with! :)
I always feel so alive when I watch your videos.
🤗
Yeah my weeks just gotten better. I miss being near the ocean, but love tagging along with you guys. Happy and safe travels. 🚐❤️
We always love having you along! ❤️
I’m in Edmonds, WA
I am so happy to live in Florida and are not in quarantine anymore.
So happy you liked this one so much!! 🤗 An in Inhaler does the trick and staying out of the direct smoke is key.
We hope you do! Idaho is a hidden gem of its own. ✨
Beautiful scenery 🥰
That view was so beautiful! I really loved when you drove down the road with trees. Its almost like they were bowing to greet you. So so beautiful! ❤❤
We feel that way in nature all the time. It's magical and often the places we get to visit seem like we are in a painting. 😊
I am excited for the future and when I am able to travel in my van. I can't wait to see all the magical and beautiful sights! 🙌 🚐
@@maybenot9449 So many out there 🚐💨
I learn so much from your adventures! Another lovely experience getting to know more about the San Juan islands.
We are so glad! We take much more interest in the history making these videos.
The San Juan’s are nice, I haven’t been up there in 30 years and I live in Olympia, Really enjoy your videos, Thank You
Ohhhhh, the lavender fields. I bet that was a fragrantly pleasant place to visit. Drew I do the dryer thing to. Giant safety pin will feed it rite back in Everytime. Hoodies and my pants are the worst. Brittany that dress is super cute. You guys gave me alot of interesting info.in alot of different topics today. The 🐋 hotline was very interesting to know. Thank you. Goats are a herding animal like the alpaca. Sad to see one tied to doghouse alone. They do make good pets but they want to be with a herd. Glad to see those guys had a large healthy herd. Such beautiful gardens in this video. You guys get some rest. This video was alot of work plus that run. Shew wee! I bet your ready for a nap. Don't be having any more them kartuffle thing's. You two are to handsome and beautiful to do that word. Be pretty now. Lol. Catch ya later, alligators.
Thanks Lori! ❤️
I love black pudding! It's a disappointing full English without it x
Glad you like it and can have ours xx 🙈
Victoria BC has that same amazing weather as the San Juans. 😍
Love the Video, just an FYI...Its St Paddy's day not Patty....and that's from an Irish Caillin (Irish for Girl) xoxo
good to know! thank you 🥰
I though you were going to Puerto Rico! the San Juan you went to was beautiful too tho!
😂 That's for another time.
You have the best life enjoy your travels.
We are so grateful 😊
How was the lavender ice cream sandwich? I always liken the taste of lavender to soap, but maybe I just haven’t had a good lavender food item yet.
As good as it sounds! Delish! 😋
13:00 Lime was also used by indigenous populations to prepare food.
European Immigrant populations in the southern USA copied the Indians in using corn for a major part of their diet. However they did not copy the way the corn was prepared (they left out the lime). This mistake led to Europeans being malnourished.

Thank for sharing this knowledge. We didn't know this.
Lavender ice cream ! YES !!!!
So good! 😋
Tie your draw string together before putting them in to wash.
Beautiful! Thanks for sharing!
Omg I just posted on FB yesterday that I might make Oahu my US landing spot for the next 2 1/2 years till I turn 62.
I have dear friend there. And I LITERALLY can not take another WINE COUNTRY FIRE SEASON!!!!!!
Wow! That would be wonderful! 🤗💚 Yes, the fire season is a lot to take. Reminds us of Hurricane season in FL.
woooow, I've been part of your viewer since the channel have 50k subscriber and I am so happy that the family grows up to 68k.. Looking forward for more adventure videos. Keep safe lovebirds, much much love ❤️❤️
Thank you so much 😀 Tell your friends 😘
You were looking out towards Vancouver Island not Victoria Island and it is where the city of Victoria is (the capital of the province of British Columbia). Have fun on the coast ❤️
Another really great and interesting video 👍Thanks and lots of love 😊
Glad you enjoyed it!
Awesome location as usual. Love you guys. Hugs.
Thanks so much xoxo
