I've played the game several times against one of each difficulty of AI. They have always been eliminated in the wrong order.
Probably because, as Dan pointed out, Monopoly is almost entirely a game of luck.

I remember I was playing a game of monopoly with my sister and her husband, I kept on buying this one row of houses that costs a ton but gave a huge rent, and kept upgrading them, I was constantly on the verge of bankruptcy, meanwhile my sister had a load of money and kept on saying that what I was doing was a bad idea, she then landed on one of my tiles and lost ALL of her money, in the end I won that game of monopoly, it was hilarious and beautiful.

I was playing monopoly and I was too on the verge of bankruptcy because I kept buying all of the properties (because there were 6 people I was trying to get as much as possible) and I traded and got hotels and then everyone was saying I was stupid for such a bad idea but then I obliterated everyone
My mom once destroyed me in a game of monopoly on my birthday. We're both sadistic as fuck so there were insults and mockery going everywhere

Though that's not very likely to happen. Because one of Monopoly's many problems is that power has a snowball effect; when you get power, it keeps on getting you more power (getting all the property in an area giving bonus money, then spending that money to get houses that give you even more money).

I definitely know it changes the trading. It is much easier to get a 'very easy' Ai to accept a trade, and will likely accept a trade if they miss out. 'Hard' Ai will never accept a trade where they lose out, and will be very unlikely to accept a trade where you DON'T lose out.

My best monopoly moment: I was on the verge of bankruptcy, I only had houses on 2 spots, but those two spots were the dark blues, and they had 3 houses each. One guy land on boardwalk. Looses 1400 then lands on community chest. The card? Go straight to BOARDWALK. I laughed maniacally. He had to mortgage. I won the game.
My best comeback was only having the reds and the railroads while my main opponent had pinks, oranges, and dark blues all well developed. I basically manipulated the other two players into getting me the yellows as well and i just built up that side of the board. It was a gruesome battle but in the end i won.

+Breaking Inferno Monopoly is only really long if you play it wrong. Never use free parking or double money if you land on go. Hotels actually broke the game aswell and stretched it out even more. Hotels never existed in the initial versions.

Berend de Liagre Bohl Well the AI difficulty only changes how much money they spend and how willing they are to trade. Not really actual meaningful skill or strategy in any way.
Well, it does make it so the computer just giving you money when you need it instead of your slow ass friend counting money to give to you. It also makes it easier because it does everything for you besides the decision making. Not defending the game, just saying.

What the speed die means:
If you roll:
A 1, 2, or 3: Add the rolled number to the normal dice total.
A Mr. Monopoly: Move according to the normal dice, and take that turn as normal. Before rolling again or passing the dice to the next player, move to the NEXT unowned property, which they may buy or auction. If there are no unowned properties, the player moves to the nearest unmortgaged property owned by an opponent. In the event that all opponents' properties are mortgaged, do nothing.
A Bus: You can choose to move the value of both of the white dice, or just the value of one white die. For example, if a player rolls a 2 and a 6 and a Bus, then that player can choose to move 2, 6, or 8 spaces.
If you roll a bus in the Mega Edition, take 1 Bus Ticket from the deck. If there are no more tickets left, or if you decide to, move to the nearest Chance or Community Chest space, whichever of the two is closer.

This video is 7 years old, that means I can reveal an incredibly overpowered strategy in the Simpsons version on monopoly and no one will know that I like to call the "Taxman Strategy:"
The railroads work different in the Simpsons version. They are each 200 dollars, and if someone lands on one they have to pay you 200 dollars. But for every OTHER railroad you own, they have to pay an addition 200, and if you have all 4, then that adds yet another 200. which means if you have all four, and someone lands on a railroad, they own you 1000 dollars. But not one goes for the railroads, because they're used to the original where the railroads are kinda shit.
In addition, Dan had a good strategy, kind of. Go for Light Blues, Browns, and Oranges. In this strategy, the Dark Blues are pretty useless, cause the Railroads already take care of big money, Oranges are there for extra insurance, and the Light Blues and Browns just slowly sap money out of everyone because of their position and the max roll you can get with dice. I did the math:
If you're on the side that is in between start and go to jail, then there's 10 spots. Around the corner, there are 7 spaces you own. The railroad, the Browns, and the Light Blues. If you take the probabilities of landing on one of those seven spaces when you're on that side before start, and then get the average probability of all of those, then you have about a 75% chance of someone landing on your square EVERY SINGLE TIME THEY GO AROUND THE BOARD. If you have hotels on them (which are stupid cheap given what properties they are) that means that every single time someone goes around the board, they have a 70 percent chance of giving you something like 500$. Since they just passed go, they do get 200$, but that means that they loose 300$ and you GAIN $500 every time someone pays you.
So pretty much, if you're playing the Simpsons version of monopoly, get the light blues, railroads, browns and oranges just to be safe, go to jail, then zero out on hotels. You won't have to pay a cent, and money will endlessly trickle into your pocket. So even if you DO get out of jail, you still have the money to pay for the rent of pretty much anything.
TL;DR: So in the Simpsons version of monopoly, the Railroads and the Cheap properties are OBSCENELY overpowered

The way I do train stations is if you own 2 then you can travel between them if you land on one you own. If someone else lands on your train station, they have to pay rent, but can also pay to travel to another train station you own. If you own all 4, you can travel between all of them, but you can't just loop the go.

It's 2023 and I still rewatch this every once in a while
Monopoly video games for the console are generally worth it because you CAN play with your family that way. And there's no hassle with setup and you can save the board. In my house, the eating table is also the only table you could play monopoly on. So once you're done for the day the board is screwed unless you do something tedious like taking notes or pictures.
There is one issue of this game, it doesnt simulate when other players begin to get so bored they make hasty decisions just so they can move it on. For example, My dad, my brother, and i were playing, and it was almost a complete stalemate. We were using the electronic banking edition, and we all had just the right properties so that no one had a monopoly exept me, who had the browns at hotel, but no one ever hit it. I had the one yellow dad needed, and he had the one orange i needed. After an hour of just accumulation of money, i made the decision to trade, and we both agreed it would most likely end the game. Had the situation been diffrent, perhaps if it was much earlier in the day, he would have flat out refused, but it was 10pm, and we all were tired of playing. i had 18m, so i hammered it all out to raise my monopoly on orange to hotels. Then dad managed to pull a nude lap manuver and landed on one orange, then another immediately after because of doubles. dead right there with a ~25m debt. Then my brother did the same.

If Monopoly is the destroyer of family harmony, then Diplomacy is the killer of friendships. Played it with a few mates for a few days straight once and I swear I was frighteningly close to punching at least two of them at more than one point. The feeling of betrayal this game can effortlessly create with its simple rules just flattens you. Haven't played it since, by the way.

I really like these types of videos because they are very calm and you can just sit back and enjoy it.
Ok, so how my take on the speed dice(because, you know, rulebooks and such) is you take your roll of the white dice, and conclude that(rent or buy square) then do the red die separately.
But saying that the bus thing is different as well, it was a card that you could use to go forward on the row you were on.
