Thanks much! I’m struggling with the transition from the last D cord strum into positioning my left hand 3rd finger on the B note (5th string) while pulling the F note into E (1st string). He transitions sooo smoothly and I can’t seem to get it! 1:20
If I'm where you are then that's a low C and not a B. It goes from a strummed D chord to a regular C chord, but yeah, that pull off of the F#.
Yup yup it totally is a C on the A (5th) string. I miss-typed. Going from strummed D chord to the C. I just need more practice. It sounds ok when I slow it down.@@openrealm
@@186bingoJust st to be clear, you're keeping the 2nd finger on the F# to pull it off and using the 3rd finger for the low C, right? I think it's got to be that way for it to work. In the meantime, one option is to make the interpretation slightly slower at that point to give more time or space for it. Sorry to be presumptuous here going into teacher mode, so no offense.
no oh goodness thank you for being super helpful. yes indeed. The second finger is staying on F# for the pull off just needing to transition my 3rd finger from D note on the 2nd string to the C note on the 5th string. An absolutely zero offense taken 🙂 @@openrealm
I bought the sheet music (std. notation and tab) from Mr. Madsen but we can't "listen" to sheet music, so I loaded the song into Guitar Pro 8. Now I can listen to the song and follow the music on the screen at any speed. It helps a lot to be able to loop a difficult part, then slow it WAY down to get the feel for the phrase. I'd really suggest you do the same (get Guitar Pro 8 and type in the entire piece.)

NO! This is not a piece for a beginner. There are plenty of other songs out there that are rewarding to play but won't frustrate you like this one would.
