I’m about to try this recipe. My mama was the designated lasagna maker at all the functions and she always added a bunch of chopped green onions to the cheese spread and she usually used sour cream instead of ricotta but imma try a mixture. And I always put some fennel seed in my sauce. Either toasted or untoasted it makes the sauce 🔥
I eat Ground beef but I eat Ground Turkey Way more because of my moma. I need to try his seasoning, but something I've started using more is Ground Cumin. It smells nice, tastes nice and, has a funny name.
I been eating ground turkey for almost ten years and I tell people all the time if I season that turkey you gone think it’s ground beef lol and I have made a believer out of a lot of people!!
Over 15 years I use turkey ground and my lasagna is 🔥!!! Yes seasoning tjr turkey is key. Also Use fresh garlic and onions and chicken bouillon wit a dash of cayenne pepper
So many good tips here from AB: Watch your salt intake! A seasoning blend with low or no salt is always the right move. Par cooked noodles give you better control over the moisture content. and... Not adding an egg allows steam to rise and escape, which means your lasagne won't be soupy. One can easily use ground chicken, turkey, pork or Italian sausage to improve your dish from the same old, same old. Great video sir.
I agree no one will know the difference between the turkey and the beef. I ALWAYS use ground turkey in place of ground beef and no one ever knows. But turkey must be very well seasoned to not notice. I also always add a little beef bullion to all of my ground turkey to give it a hint of beefy flavor! Thanks for sharing another 🔥 recipe!
Since. I've been working with less meat for Hubby. And since, I got him off the red meat in 2019. His cholesterol is better now than it was in his forties. I truly believe the more we change how we treat our bodies, the better it will treat us. Thanks for sharing. Those "New, Orleans: seasoned collards greens you shared. It has put a new way for me to serve them. In fact. I've been told; that's the only way they want them for special occasions 🤭😊
Ground chicken is another go-to with some beautiful shallots purple bell peppers and yellow bell peppers and orange during this season. But eating healthy is best thank you for a beautiful recipe A.B💯🥰🍷🎃🌟‼️📽️📺🍁🙋🏻♀️
Your preparation and visuals are awesome. I made the turkey lasagna this week as a main meal(with a garden salad on the side)....it was absolutely delish! Keep sharing your wholesome n healthy dishes.
AB YOU BE KILLING IT ON THESE RECIPES....... I NEVER.THOUGHT ABOUT ADDING TURKEY TO LASAGNA. ..... WOW 👏 . THANK 😊YOU FOR GIVING US NEW IDEAS ON TRADITIONAL RECIPES. ON YOUR CHANNEL. I REALLY APPRECIATE YOU AND YOUR TALENTS THAT YOU BRING US. THANK YOU FOR ALL THAT YOU DO.
Ground turkey has always been my alternative to red meat....you did your thang with that lasagne, and your red beans & rice video was straight fire...I cooked those and they turned out perfect.....substituted smoke turkey sausage for the andouille.....your skills are incredible
My girlfriend always wants me to cook for her & I’d love to but I’m always so afraid I’ll mess up. I just want to say watching AB videos has given me the confidence to go for it. As he says he’s made cooking seem simple & fun than in my head & I think I’ll make this for my gf this Sunday !!
Right now mine is in the oven, following your steps, although, I did add some other stuff like bay leaves, cilantro, adobo, powdered chicken bouillon, culantro and achiote, frozen peas and carrots, and some tsps of Turkish pepper pasta. Just waiting for the 45mins to pass by. Did a taste test and it does not taste like turkey and yes it can pass for ground beef. Seasoning the meat is definitely key, much appreciate that wonderful tip. It is a great day to be joyful, baske in it, everyone.
I just got on TH-cam looking for a turkey lasagna and this was posted 12 days ago. I’m chef curry with the pot tonight baby 😂 I love you AB you a BOSS!

I just want to say thank you for all the great recipes!!!! I'm getting more into cooking thanks to your channel!! You make everything so easy to make and simple yet incredibly delicious!! Can't wait to make this. God Bless!!
Hey 🆎 Ground turkey just needs a lil help with flavor and it takes it well. It is very good for burgers, meatballs and sausage. I like my sauce meaty too...veggies:onion, peppers and garlic. Usually I make my sauce a day ahead and then refrigerate it so all of those flavor can marry. Then I'll take it out to let it get almost room temp so it will spread or take an ice cream scoop and get nice dollops. 🆎 save some of that sauce for a Sloppy Joe or spoon over some tortilla chips...put cheese on both 🙌. Some good snackin while waiting for the Lasagna.
I literally had just finished unpacking my ingredients to make a turkey lasagna tonight so it'll be deliciously melded together tomorrow for my birthday and then I see this video...... I add chopped spinach to my ricotta mixture
That looks better than Stouffer’s lasagna and I bet it taste better. Never made a lasagna at home before because I thought it would be hard to make. The way you made this it looks so easy, I’m going to have to give it a try.
