I am like 80% sure when you rebirth a dino it just takes away any levels you put into it but obviously, you can get those back pretty easily 😁
I am 100% sure. My 190 wyvern, that was leveled, died, and I reincarnated it. Upon being reincarnated, it was a level 190, the level I got it at. Same goes for normally tamed creatures.

Morts the same lvl as he was when you tamed him. Its so you cant use the oasisore to over level him, but its still good because you can get tamed dinos like the tylas imprinted and tamed . So yes you just need to level mort up again

You have to imprint one time on the REBORN dino before it goes back to normal, if anyone was curious on how it works

As someone who’s used the rebirth system a few times. It takes the creature back to its original state so whatever levels you put into it go away and it goes back to its default state.
Most ark players not named Syntac figured that out in like 4 seconds. 😂
I dont play ark and that was my first thought 😂 and git hard confirmed that the xp needed to lvl up was 10@@drew5337
@@drew5337 i've noticed that it count mutations as regular levels however. More testing needed to see if it can reset mutation lines :)

Resurrected tames are the lvl they are when you caught/hatched them.
They just lose any imprint/gained lvls after they grew up.
So reborn Mort was actually Mort.

You probably just lost the level-ups into Mort, which seems fair since the creature is reborn as a baby.

It's back to 0 xp the way it was when you tamed / birthed it. All you have to do is get the xp again it's base level is the same as it used to be

I think Osiris would be a great name for the Oasisaur since he is the God of the Underworld and resurrection. Poor Mort, have to give him a new name to live up to maybe.
The level of the creature after resurrecting will be the level u tamed the creature at, any added levels after taming gets removed (same as cloning creatures)

Is it just me, or when the creatures are getting reincarnated, they're being reincarnated with the leveled stats they died at as basic stats?

Reborn creatures lose all their xp and levels and also their imprint.
Is babies growing up while unconscious a new thing? I could've sworn that in survival evolved when I tried throwing out babies with cryo sickness to get them all to grow up at the same tine they just stayed the same growth, and if it is new to ASA then that's a really nice QOL change
