I've never played Ark. I didn't evn know ASE existed until ASA came out. I found Syntac's 'The Island' series because I wanted to see how a pro played this game and this dude's sense of humor is just great. A few episodes back you placed one foundation, mortar & pestle, and a refining forge. When you said "Guys, let me know if you want a tutorial on this." Simple joke that had me in tears for a good 2-3 minutes. Now, here I am watching your Let's plays waiting for the next episode to drop like a child watching their favorite cartoon. What I am trying to say is, I love the videos and super glad I stumbled upon your channel! Keep it up man!!
Syntac is my favorite Ark TH-camr. I'd known about him for several years before I actually subbed. Mostly stumbled on his channel via The Algorithm when looking for taming methods on things like Gigas and Reapers. I dropped an official sub back when he was partway through his Extinction Saga in the Ultimate Ark series and I've been keeping on top of his content ever since. He and the guys are a ton of fun on the Sossage Party channel, too.

Alpha Deathworms have to be one of the coolest Alphas. Just seeing it emerging from the sand and just keep going up in height is intimidating. Wish we had more Alpha variants.
useful tip for the treasure maps: once you "open" it to see the location, you can then click on the temporary marker on your own map to add it to your markers, then you can track it even on a creature.
People hate sandstorms but I like that there's an incentive to use desert creatures in the desert instead of always riding the exact same thing forever
Replacement for Dino Storage V2 try Super Cryo Storage!!! Is almost a strait copy/upgrade from Dino Storage in ASE!! It has a Cryo Terminal that can Auto trap babies and passively generate resources if enabled! Instead of Soul Balls it has CryoBalls that show's stat points, colours and other information And a mod similar to S+ in ASA try QoL+ It is a fork and migration of the S+ ,it has everything you want from it Multi-tool(pickup gun), Omni-tool, Structures: Hitching Post, AC, Feeding Trough, Bee Hive, Farmer, Gardener, Nanny, etc.. And it has ITEM PULLING!!! the only thing it is missing is a Crafting Station to craft the same items from player inventory like wood/stone structures etc..
I think the term for a non-apex predator is mesopredator. Its a fascinating concept the study of trophic level and how various creatures fit in depending on scope of the niche and biome.
I've got a screenshot of my first trip to the wyvern trench of the classic tremors scene of the grabboids going of the cliff to their doom but this was about 4 if not more death worms jumping to their doom in the lava. It was both beautiful and sad because i could've done with those horns.
As good as direwolves are for killing deathworms, it'll be very interesting to see how fasolasuchus does against them, honestly I can't wait for Syn to tame one and see exactly how good they are
I haven’t tried them myself cause my single players keep crashing but I do hope they’re at least decent, I feel like level 80 for their saddle is a little high since you can probably get a wyvern by like level 65 ish, a imprinted argy is kinda all you need (plus getting lucky with a small amount of wyverns in the area) but I guess ark engrams never really did fit with the game scaling
Once you make the waypoint on your map to the treasure you gotta left click the waypoint on the map so you actually see it while mounted like any other waypoint.👍

But I think you should give all of your tames a pistol and a simple bullet in case they want to end it on their own terms. I’m sorry buddy, but you don’t take good care of them.
Fasos are decent for wyvern killing… if you do the sand whirl as it dives down to get you, it can knock it out of the air and get it stuck. Then, other ground creatures can freely attack it 😁👍
I wish I could find a small server with a tight group of people. At almost 40 years old I find it hard to socialize with the younger generations. Not only this but the amount of pillar spam on PVE is very disappointing. People treating PVE servers like PVP based ruin the PvE experience. Glad to see you and your crew are tight and don’t ruin the game with mindless spam items. The search continues for this server. Haha. Thanks for the great content.
Little something to keep in mind with direwolf packs. Especially on deathworm hunts, always go around to the other side to attack, the knockback is small, but it makes the pack have to take small run after every hit, instead of having one knockbacking it towards them allowing for much shorter/no run at all, allowing higher dps, less dmg taken and faster kills
I dont know if this was a bug or not, but I was in the Dunes and had 7 deathworms pop up on me at one time. I'm not over exaggerating. It was actually 7 deathworms at one time.
I don't know if it's been suggested yet, but you should totally build up a cart attached to a horse to look like a traveling snake oil salesman wagon where you can store your chemistry bench and some materials, if you can place it on a cart that is.
After setting the treasure up as a waypoint, if you get on your mount, open your map, and click the waypoint again, you will be able to see it while riding a Dino. You just have to go to your waypoints and delete it after

So... I recently got back into Ark after a 3+ year hiatus (my job isn't very ideal for gaming but I'm making it work now) and I was going through my single player playthrough for Scortched... Anyways, I found a max level 150 Argent with the same blue colors as the one Syntac keeps finding in his playthrough... Totally not bragging because while I was kiting the argent into a stone gate trap, I was able to get it into the trap but then it knocked back jiat as I was getting out to close the gate and my other tame ran into the trap and killed the Argy... RIP the dream 😂😢
In my opinion, going into the caves is a lot easier to get Org. I just use my wolf and he smashes it 😊 keep up the great work! I love watching your videos 🧡
You can see treasure maps when mounted. You just have to save the waypoint like you do, then move a few meters, and after that you can click on it to have it show up.
Once you add the treasure waypoint onto your map you have to click on the icon again to get it to show up permanently. Sometimes you'll hear the ring and sometimes you won't. It's a bit buggy for sure though.
if you need more horns, Have you tested to see if the parasaur's detection can locate deathworms? like a ping underground? that might help to find them.
Not sure if youll see this but ill say it anyways the easiest way ive can see where the treasure is on a tame is by making a new waypoint where the treasure is and marking that
For getting stuck in the dire pack, in the Low resolution version of this game or #1 you could set the distance the mounts followed you, are you able to do that still and if so maybe it could be worth trying to fix the issue until your bug report is seen and fixed or the bug is fixed?

I think it’s because ark wolves move so fluidly/seamlessly and smoothly. Compared to most other tames, riding a direwolf is akin to riding a cloud

They do less dps than a Rex even at full stacks of their acid, another worthless creature that serves no purpose
That last deathworm was being knocked back up the hill so it became obi wan kenobi, it had the high ground lol.

You could use the wooly Rhino Horns you got from a drop to tame a mantis. Unless its no longer possible in ASA.

The manticore armor with the witches hat is my favorite armor skin set
I've found several death worms at the south east corner of the map, not sure if thats just a spawn for them but its pretty consistent.
You can tap the map waypoint like any other waypoint to track it, then you can see while riding a mount.
To see the treasure when mounted, marked it on the map as you have done, and then click it to be active and be able to see when mounted :)
you can use the rhino horns that come in the drops to tame mantis as well.
