From a few tents over windswept wooden shacks, the settlement has developed into a city which would count prosperous even on many midworlds. A townhall meeting was held and Nenaul came up with the suggestion to ripping open the street near the the space center to build another geothermal powerplant, which he has build before (~18:30). He also suggested, that instead of hiding it out of sight, it should be the centerpiece of a small park in the northwest of the town near the space center, celebrating the progress they have made. Also, Nenaul just wants to show off his constructions skills, so he wants to build the geothermal plant and a few decorations around it himself. Turning the park into a roundabout with a large inner section or a more friendly green park was still up for debate, postponed to a later meeting, but Nenaul's fingers were twitching and he could get ahead of those pesky long meetings by creating facts.
You mentioned a hostel, I think that would be really cool to build on the outskirts of the city, some kind of cheap stay for rogue travellers maybe even fugitives. Dingy and dangerous yeah all you need.
Call the station the "The Step" for it being like stairs to each floor of the city. The upper city/ upper hive is the moon civilization for all the rich and powerful do business. The lower city/ lower hive for small business, quick money, and building your power to guard both.
I know this is silly but wouldn’t it be cool if the town had a pet store/petting zoo! That way you could make money from customers that may visit with their families. Not to mention you could breed specific mounts for customers that ask. I could see a nice it of revenue coming from this. Specially since the world rn as it is is very stressful.

Suggestion for the Space Station Alpha-1 Station Now hear me out! Alpha is the model of station and 1 is which one of that model it is. Alpha-2 would be Alpha Model, 2nd Station. Bravo-1 is Bravo Model, 1st Station. This also allows nicknames to famous stations, like: Alpha-1 "Giant Leap" Alpha-1 "Cold Point" Alpha-1 "First Contact" Etc.
I would love to see like a space mining empire or some kind of MegaCorporation empire, something like the Hyperion Corporation from borderlands or something I'm not sure how you would differ it from other empires but still I love the series!!

I would like to suggest the Cultured Meat mod. It would be perfect for your space station where you can grow meat for Laika and also more variety for the city you have built.
Loving the series so far! I think a fitting name for the space station could be something along the lines of "New Horizon" or "Horeca Expanded." New Horizon reflects the journey and achievements of the city in reaching space. Meanwhile, Horeca is an acronym from Switzerland/the Benelux (think Belgium and its small neighbors) that stands for HOtels, REstaurants, and CAfes. So in essence, Horeca Expanded reflects the expansion of your hospitality business into the stars. (Feel free to take any creative liberties as well). Another thing I wouldn't mind seeing is the business diversifying to the field of pharmaceuticals and/or drugs. You've already dealt in smokeleaf and alcohol, and you harvest organs, so why not really get into the production of medicines and other... recreational substances (for Pharmaceuticals, there is a mod called Sleepy's Pharmaceuticals, created by Sleepy068. Adds a bunch of medicines like penicillin and more, might be worth checking out if you want to go down this path). Let's make sure the Empire of the Hamlet is well ingrained in all aspects of Degham. No one should be able to escape the corporate logo of the conglomerate; it should be completely cemented in all aspects of Degham life, as well as Degham's geospace and whatnot. "The Hamlet: Dedicated to making life hospitable" should be the company's new slogan lol
Halfway through, if the boomalope survives long enough for it to be given a name, why not something related to oil production, like Tanker or Rig. Could be changed slightly to be Reg or smth to make it look more like an actual name.

Not sure if this is possible with the mod you're using, but it might be more worth it to instead pull any mineable asteroids you come across back towards the space station (which I'm tentatively dubbing Hoxxes' Bounty, because ROCK AND STONE!) rather than mine them in situ, since you'll be able to mine out the whole thing while being close to base before jettisoning any worthless rock left over back out into deep space. Certainly, if you were using SOS2, you could do that by strapping some rockets to the rock and rocking that rock back to... base.

No need to do everything through vending machines, with that mod you can have your waitors take orders from customers and fetch meals and drinks from the back to bring to them.

Building some trading posts, restaurants, circuses, and construction outposts could bring in some more income. Building some outlying farms, ranches, and lumbercamps would bring resources into the capital, while freeing up more space in the city for housing and industry. The mod Second Floor would allow you to build up in addition to out, letting you house more tenants in the city. You've improved the roads in the city greatly, but haven't yet improved the roads leading to the city. Roads Of The Rim would allow you to improve the roads, and build more roads connecting your company to all the potential customers. And as a bonus, the construction outposts from Vanilla Outposts Expanded: Additional Outposts will help in road construction.

A idea for the settlement would be setting up a robot factory/foundry to create construction bots and copy the oak foundation and marshal service androids to help build up the settlement and build up the defense force
