Hey Edwin! I'm a small engine teacher at Superior High School. I believe we are about 3 hours from you. Every year I hand my students thrown away and broken push mowers to fix. Once repaired, my students have to convert the mowers into "go-karts" for an end of year race. If you and the Grindhard shop ever have time in the schedule, I would love the chance for my students to learn about the creative and build processes used in the shop for the builds. Anyways, blow engines and burn tires.

i don't know why i still find it amazing what people are willing to do for youtube bucks, you'd think after years of watching countless people do everything from stupidly risking their lives to ending up going to prison over something they posted on youtube i would eventually become numb to it all but i don't. Watching someone knowingly take an unproven POS walmart electric thing with a bent axle, sketchy chain retention setup and overall poor quality bike up a mountain by himself after openly stating it was berry season in the area which has an active bear population still totally amazes me.....

Hey Edwin, I'm an Aussie so you can take my opinion with a grain of salt if you like?
Mate, both this video and the one you did with Steve scared the absolute cr@p out of me with your very casual approach to camping out doors?
Sure Steve had bear spray but you are literally choosing the worst possible season for you to go camping in? Bears are stocking up and are out huge numbers before they hibernate for winter.
You guys camped open air right next to your campsite? Dafuq? That's a massive no no. Don't ever sleep anywhere close to where you have prepared meals? You spilled mac and cheese on the ground like it's the most aromatic bait ever and then prepared to set up camp right next to it? You didn't have a barrel to put your food in or a rop to hoist it up in a tree along with any scraps and hoist it up in a tree a good distance away from your camp site?
You even had a burner stove to be able to cook your food away from your campsite, so you didn't even need the fire for your cooking? That's usually where people come unstuck when they prepare food and cook the food on the fire that is in their campsite. This attracts bears and someone who hasn't washed their hands before climbing into their hammock before passing out from an exhaustive days riding; yeah you pretty much smell like a tastey food snack packaged ready eat! You may as well have had a neon sign saying Hello Fresh for bears!
Pun is scarily intended but don't let that make light of a serious subject.
Bro you need a hand gun and bear spray when you go out like that alone in the mountains. I think you are crazy and I'm an Aussie who has never been to America? Am I over reacting saying this?
How can you guys be outdoorsmen in the USA and not be carrying a gun? It's literally this country where you have the freedom to do so and you have the actual threats to your life active in your region right at the moment? How could you not be carrying a gun with ammunition?
I think you're insane not just because it's bear season which you know about already; cougars, bobcats, lynx, wolves (rare but still potentially) and coyotes (although more curious than a actual threat to your life - they are more dog than wolf and are timid not as confrontational as wolves).
Regardless of the brutality of a bear there's a whole psychological horror associated with knowingly being stalked by a persistent and undeterred mountain lion!
With a bear you know the end will be swift but being mauled by a mountain lion is going to be a long slow suffering and enduring death where when you give up to the beast that you wished it was more savage and powerful to end your life quicker. Don't get me wrong either death would be traumatic and if you could make the threat retreat for its life merely at the sound of it the gun firing, let alone pointed right at its face as it's charging you down? For what reason would you not want to be carrying a gun? And do you think that reason is a sound reason when you can picture yourself and imagine yourself in a life or death situation like I've described?
Far out I'd literally get a flare gun from the fishing and camping store and get a 12 Gage shoty hollowed out with no no pellets to act as a blank just to fire 1 round with loud noise at the absolute "bear" minimum 😆
I'm autistic so please chime in and tell me I'm over reacting and I just a dumb Aussie that doesn't know shit?
I'll be ok with that label and I will STFU, cool?
