People are giving this way more leeway than usual. Is it because its an indie company? The visuals that doesnt inspire you to be critical? And no one is gonna point out why Medivh is here?!
For me it’s a solid 8/10. If the jumping mechanics were more flexible, smooth, and allowed you to move with complete freedom, this game would be a 9. If the combat had a little more depth with each light and heavy attack as well as more upgrades with the staff, it’d be a 10 from there.

This games looks fantastic in 4k.Enjoying and having fun playing Kena.I really hope they make more titles like this one or even second extension!
This felt like a roller coaster review of "This game is great here......but then not so great here......but great here!" Either way, it looks fantastic and I'll be picking this up over the weekend.
A couple of hours in and really enjoying it, awesome work for their first game! Looking forward to see what else they come up with, Sony should buy this studio and assist them in taking it to the next level.
IGN reviewer: complains about how few attack moves the character has
Also IGN reviewer: proceeds to explain a bunch of more complex attack moves during the whole video
This is the most beautiful game I've seen in a long time and there's been some beautiful games over the last couple years so great job!
About the combat, most people always stick to the OG move set in other games.
Like GOW and HZeroDawn.
Yess, the best way to experience the full combat is by doing harder difficulties, sadly many people dont do this
Lol that one excuse for not having variety….
@@JackTheBlack1585 most don't what about Halo or Cod not every game needs it.

This game is beautiful... but honestly that's it; it's really shallow on terms of plot, gameplay and everything else. Combat can be fun but it's really simplistic, and tha game can get repetitive real quick. Also, there is pretty much no replayability value.
After months of stale games…..finally something I’m addicted to haven’t been able to put the controller down. The cuteness in this game is overload.
Seems great for a $40 dollar game.
Agreed; priced correctly!!
People are giving this way more leeway than usual. Is it because its an indie company? The visuals that doesnt inspire you to be critical?
And no one is gonna point out why Medivh is here?!
Looks absolutely beautiful
Yup, and that's all you're fixated on. And that's exactly what they want.
@@pla6ue yeah and looks fun too lol they can get my money! Why so bitter?
@@ThePughski he has an xbox
@@pla6ue imagine being bitter ... It's a half price indie game and their first game great effort if you ask me!
It looked better in the reveal trailer.
For me it’s a solid 8/10. If the jumping mechanics were more flexible, smooth, and allowed you to move with complete freedom, this game would be a 9. If the combat had a little more depth with each light and heavy attack as well as more upgrades with the staff, it’d be a 10 from there.
Sony bringing the heat! Can’t wait to get my hands on this one.
Sony didn't bring anything to this one except some cash. Ember Lab signed an exclusivity deal with Sony for money, but it's still on PC anyways. They could have just crowd funded and skipped the "exclusivity"
@@kylegarrett2429 you could technically say the same thing about every single exclusive game ever
@@mitchellp7739 every single timed or third party exclusives yes.
@@kylegarrett2429 relax buddy lol Sony definitely bringing the heat stop being a fanboy and enjoy what you prefer
@@kylegarrett2429 that's still bringing something, isn't it...
Horzion Zero also didn't have weapon upgrade .sometimes games can be more than just fighting
This game is beautiful and fun to play
This looks like what Rare would be making now if they never got bought out. Astonishing visuals!
i’ve been so excited to play this. buying it this weekend 🙏
Just finished kena if your on the fence buy it this game is a blast to play this studio did a phenomanal job. Should be game of the year contender.
