Martina Navratilova's Emotional Interview With Piers Morgan On Fight Against Double Cancer

- Piers Morgan Uncensored is joined by winner of 59 Grand Slam tennis titles, and widely regarded as one of the best tennis players of all time, Martina Navratilova, for an exclusive interview after recently announcing she had beaten both throat and breast cancer.
Martina opens up about the struggle of being diagnosed with cancer and how she felt after being diagnosed with a second cancer whilst still treating the first. She goes on to explain that not knowing the severity of her condition and how long she had left, changed plans with her wife Julia, as they had intended to adopt a child but decided against it.
Piers then asks Martina about the moment she had beat cancer and rang the bell to signify the end of cancer treatment. Martina explains she had a 'pitty' party to celebrate beating cancer and goes on to explain that it has changed her whole perspective on life.
The tennis legend also revealed that she smuggled her dog Lulu into hospital during cancer treatments to keep her company.

Martina used to own a home in Osprey Florida and I live in Sarasota which is very close to Osprey. Martina used to workout at the YMCA where I worked part time. She was just great, so down to earth & everyone loved her. My thoughts and prayers are with her.

Thank you for sharing this interview. Very important information. I had the same breast cancer journey returned almost 20 years later second time. No throat cancer but this story makes us all feel stronger. The nurses that care for the cancer patients are super heroes.

Martina Navratilova was our treasure. As a Czech, I am very proud of what this girl has achieved! I'm 26 years old and I've always looked up to her because my trainer absolutely adored her. Every time I see this name it puts a smile on my face. It is our great Czech treasure and I think that Martina regrets that she had to leave her homeland for tennis.

Very touching how her relationship with Chris has strengthened over the years. Each has only one other person who knew what it took and meant to all of those tournament finals - and then experiencing cancer during the beginning of the last chapter of their lives. For. yes its the greatest rivalry ever in women's sport..their mutual admiration and respect is such an example... without the other, either may have won 25-30+ grand slams but i wonder if either would have been as great without the other?
