Jason. I think those sheep were telling you 'its too wet to be out here'🐑 Some beautiful golden evening light on the hills☀ and cool to see the showers moving across in the distance. Lovely capture of the fox🦊 and well done on not slipping into the lough😊 Not often you get still and clear evenings like that, definitely to be savoured👍 A stunning morning alright☀👍 Glad you eventually got you tea☕
Those evenings are few and far between so it was great to have the time to slow down and enjoy it. The next time, I'll have the tea situation worked out so there won't be any hassle there. I can't wait to get back out, have a good one 👍
Enjoyed this post, it had a great vibe. The helm one compact is a lovely tent. Like you say, it's not perfect; and there are a few little changes I would love to see; to make it even better. For the money, you can't beat it. I paid £135 for mine; and it's one tough tent. I'm gonna put the cat amongst the pigeons here; by saying with a good pitch and proper site selection; it's as good as one of those Hilli-watsa-names; anyday of the week! 😉 Your photography was beautiful, as ever. And I still don't think that you need to include a drone in your posts. You have the perfect mix of personal banter with the camera, documenting the trip, a bit of wildlife/nature, and some comedy..Nearly falling into the water..Spilling your water that took forever to boil.. and.."it's a f***** fox!" 🤣 There's some essential and required gear porn, and last but not least; aesthetically pleasing landscapes/weather. You make it look effortless Jason; and I personally wouldn't be in a rush to change, or add anything! But that's just my humble opinion. Anyway, this was a cracking little post; one of your best yet. Well done. As always (never satisfied) looking forward to the next one! Take care Jason!😊
I was very impressed with it, I reckon some better organisation on my part might make it more enjoyable to spend some time in but like I said, there's a few bits I would like to change. Don't worry, someday I will have a drone but I won't use it the same way that everyone else does. I have some ideas on how to be creative with it. Whenever I do get one I would love to hear your thoughts, I reckon it's going to be class and it will definitely surprise you. At least I hope it will. I had a good laugh looking back at the clips while I was editing, especially the bit when we saw the fox. That was just pure luck that I had the camera rolling. I'm heading out this week, new tent and some terrible weather. It should be good, cheers Tim 🍀 Take her handy
Was waiting for this one. Brilliant job man. Absolutely stunning view of the night. Just brilliant. Love your shots of the crafty fox. Really enjoyed that camp.. starry night and cups of tea. Nothing better. Well man. 👏👏👏👏
This gives all new meaning to the term peace and quiet...what a beautiful upload Jason. I have come to hit the LIKE button before I even begin to view your videos. Cuz I just know that I will. Much appreciation for all you share with your viewers and subscribers. A bucket list entry for sure.
Looks like it was the perfect camp. Misty then clear, stars, moon, fox, no wind, stunning morning to wake.up to. As you say, makes up for all those claggy nights you've had. Great video. Cheers!
Gorgeous shots Jason of all that was around you! Delighted you got the pleasure of a fantastic cloud inversion to savour - definitely makes up for those crappy conditions that have visited you every now and again 🤭 Looked like a night and morning to remember!! 😎
Cheers Miriam, it was nice to get some decent weather for a change. It makes everything so much easier. I'm looking forward to the longer winter nights 🥶😄
Nice one Jason. That is the best cloud inversion I have ever seen on anyone's video. You two were blessed with that one. Nice editing, you seem to have a few cameras on the go 😅. It must have been awesome to experience that night and morning, it can stir the emotions. Lovely job. All the best. 👍
Cheers Andrew, I had two cameras with me so I had them both on the go. It was nice to get some decent weather, not only that some decent T shirt weather 😄 Thanks again, take her handy 🍀
Galtees, I'm planning to camp there for long time now, one of the things that holding me back is that i don't have good tent, I think to buy nemo hornet or dragonfly, but this requires some money saving 😊. For now I'll just seat and enjoy your adventures.
I've never used a Nemo tent but I'd say it will be class that first night you head to the Galtees. It's just good to be out somewhere new. Cheers for watching 🍀
Lovely shot of what I think is Cush at the beginning. Love the videos - the peace and tranquility remind me of why I love wild camping so much (& the Galtees in particular)
The footage was amazing and your tank looks great. The views were spectacular on video, I can only imagine r shat it would be like actually being there. Good to see you out and about.
Jason, that was one hell of a video you put together!!!! Superb!!! Dare I say, it even beats Martin's video he posted recently. Don't tell him I said so! Keep up the good work lad. BTW, do you have a link for a (Coffee Donation) Web Site etc? Us like minded folk can help each other out....
Jaysus, cheers Alan. I'll keep that under me hat. I have a PayPal link there for donations. I'm happy to fund the videos myself but every bit helps and it all goes back into the channel. Cheers for watching. Hopefully, I'll get the videos up on a more regular basis soon 👍
Nice camp dude & also higood that U got some nice weather for a change...!😄 I believe that the "sweet-spot" for a pot to sit above a spirit stove is 1inch, not too low, but not too fierce, although i generally always use the flame restricter cap as i call it, once its got bubbling, just to keep food on a gentle simmer, if I want to heat something slowly...👍 I went back to gas during the past few months, but will probably be using mine more again .during the coming cold seasons...🥶🤣 Best wishes & look forward to watching Ur next adventure...!👊
Cheers Kev, I've since order a pot stand for it. I love the alcohol stove but that little stand affected the flame just by putting it in place. Hopefully with the new stand I can use the Trangia more often. I did the same as you, I've been using gas a lot lately, looking forward to those frosty nights 🥶
Hi Jason, Thanks for posting this video. Those views are incredible mate. What did you put the pot on to gain the height on the Trangia when it wouldn't boil in a reasonable length of time?
No worries thanks to you for joining me. All I had was the little pot stand that sat on top of the stove. If I had noticed sooner I would have set up a few tent pegs to the support the pot instead. I'm waiting on a new stand to arrive so we'll see how that goes
Cheers Wayne, I'd go for the Xmid to be honest. It has more interior space, the vestibules are huge in comparison, it's lighter and if it could be sourced in Europe the price wouldn't be too much more than the Helm. It's just a pity that we get stung with customs and import tax
That cloud inversion 😍. Some stunning footage there pal 👍🏻
I could have stayed up there all day, it was stunning. Cheers Paul, thanks for watching 🍀
It's a small world👍

Cheers man, delighted that I managed to get the fox in focus. Hard to do a manual focus in the dark never mind the clag too 😄

We had a bit of everything, we even had rain at the very start of the hike. Typical Irish weather, cheers man 🍀

Yeah I love Cush, I'm hoping to do a big hike in the Galtees soon. There are some areas that I have never seen. Thanks for joining me🍀
Love it
That was a class morning you got up there!
It was pretty sexy, pity about the tea situation 😄
Nice one Jason that was a stunning spot loved the vid.
Funny I have that tent as well 🤣🤣I love it.
Cheers Graham 👍
😄 I'm delighted that I bought it, I'll be testing it through the winter 🥶 Cheers Graham 🍀
Great video mate, Iv the same tent this 3 months but haven't got to try it out yet. Hopefully this month I'll get up the donegal hills
It's a mighty little tent, hopefully you can get out sooner rather than later 🤞
Terrific spot Jason, that’s what it’s all about. Atb
Cheers Callum 🍀
Excellent....Can't wait to watch, especially on a wet Sunday!
The weather is shocking, I'm hoping to get out Tuesday to record the next video. The weather looks abysmal 🤣 Enjoy man, cheers 🍀
It's true that every day is a learning day in life. Great views there hi 👍
100% I learn a lot from making mistakes 🍀

😄 tis a fine tank. Cheers Colin, it was great to be out. I hope to get out a lot more in future 🤞 I hope that all is good with you 🍀
All good. A few hikes here and there. Would love to get out more but I take the opportunities when they come.
@@colinhalpin2076 that's the best way to do it
Fabulous, beautiful, keep them coming❤
I'm heading out next week, the weather looks awful. Perfect for camping 😄
You were close to falling into the Lough 😂
😄 I was too close for comfort, could have landed on me arse
Thanks!

Amazing views

Great video Jason. Got the Helm 1 myself along with the Durston XMid like yourself. Which one do you prefer?

@@RamblingOn agree Jase. Very rarely use any other tent now the XMid is about. All the best 👍🏕️
What town was lit up in the distance ?
I reckon that is Aherlow lit up. I love watching the world go by while sitting up on a mountain beside my tent
You yt guys..how do you afford so much gear..😁🤔
It's my one and only hobby. I've spent a fortune and buy second hand when I can. Even my main camera is second hand 😁
