Thanks for the vid. Yes it's important to close all windows and doors. About 1 year ago my budgie, Crypto, accidentally flew out the window. We got him back because we had a loud conure, and Crypto knew his voice. Crypto didn't go far, he stayed close. The next morning Crypto came back by himself after we put his cage outside.
When he got out, he thought it was going to be fun, but when he came back he was hungry and thirsty. I think the other birds didn't let him eat with them because he looked different.
