@@MaximSupernov thanks, I know. I want to stay in the Garmin ecosystem and I wanted something more subtle and traditional to use along with my Fenix
Does it have a metronome?
I wonder why they didn't make both hands sweep to 9 so they use the right side of the screen as well.
That's actually a great suggestion 👍
How do you turn off wrist activation
Can it track golf
I bought the vivomove style a couple of weeks ago and I am quite happy, would it make sense to return it and buy the Trend version?
The screen of the style version is 42 and this one is 40. What do you recommend?
It wouldn't make sense. This is more like an upgrade to Sport version and i think Style is still better. this has wireless charging but it is just a gimmick in my opinion. However the body of this watch is made of plastic and has only a steel ring around the watch face. Style has a full aluminium body and gorila glass display and that is a big upgrade imo. Plus you have a colourful screen as well.
Great video! Vivomove Trend looks amazing and wireless charging surely is a huge pro. I need some advice: I'm really into the Vivomove series but I'm not really sure which way to go. I want something versatile enough to be suitable for the office (and work related events) as well as going for a run or a long walk. Any recommendations? Thanks!!
What did you end up going with? I'm in a similar dilema.
@@emlynjones6616 I went for the Vivomove Trend. I decided, since it was a newer iteration of the Vivomove series and according to the research I did, that it was the better option. I've had it for over a week now and I'm truly loving it. Just beware that it's mostly a fashion piece and that the "smart" features aren't really that mind-blowing. They're mostly the essential features you can expect in any smart band today, but you won't be able to do super advanced fancy techy stuff; for instance, one thing that bothered me was the fact that I can't customize quick replies for messages since this particular Garmin model doesn't allow it. But otherwise in general it's an excellent watch. I'd say go for it if what I described is what you're looking for, all watches have their pros and cons and it's ultimately a matter of personal taste and priorities.
@@nicolaspabloam thanks for the reply. I'm wondering whether I might just give it a pass until a GPS version comes out since that would be a major reason why I wouldn't just get a normal watch. Or I might get a second hand one to see how I like them first. Thanks again for your point of view
Previous generation Elevate sensor? That's quite surprising!
It performed well either way! 👍
Need to calibrate the mins hand
uhh they are still using the old elevate sensor?
Seems to work just fine
Does it connect to chest strap heart rate monitor?
No external sensor support unfortunately
Still no news about Fenix 8 ?
It was 2-1/2 years from the Fenix 6 to the Fenix 7 and the 7 came out just one year ago. I don’t anticipate seeing anything on that front for a long time.
Nice review, thanks. Does the watch have the same sensor generation like venu2 or instinct2 or the previous?
It has the 3rd gen and the Venu 2/Instinct 2 have the 4th gen
That minute hand not being lined up made my brain hurt.
Ya sorry about that. Somehow forgot to align the hands before filming that section.
How do you keep it on time
Recalibrate
Full lcd display is hybrid?
Hybrid means that a watch is combining analog hands with a digital display
Do the watch hands glow in the dark?
They do not
@@DesFit Thanks for your prompt response. How can you see the time in the dark? And can the digital screen be set to always on?
Is Garmin Pay works on this?
Ja
Does it work with whatsapp?
garmin increased price of all watches in australia by 200$, wtf, garmin is not getting sales?
It has a barometer but no a baro app? :(
So the display now has only one color?
This is an additional option in between the Sport which has a half display and the Style and Luxe which have full color displays.
So sad that they do not build a gps sensor into these watches. I don't understand this design decision.
Gps takes a lot of battery power and this is a hybrid watch so it goes more for the style and long battery life rather than hardcore sport functions
@@MrMozkoZrout Yes, it takes a lot of battery. Still, I really would like a good looking watch with the same features as the instinct crossover for example.
@@Lucibus yeah I understand but instinct crossover is a freaking wall clock somebody put a wristband to lol. If you want elegant small watch you'll have a small battery and sadly it means you have to save it where you can
Garmin really needs to start streamlining their lineup. So many watches, it can be confusing. Apple has 3 current gen watches, pick your price range. Combine wireless charging of the vivomove trend, LTE capabilities of the Bounce, ECG of the Venu 2s Pro, sports tracking from an epix 2 and you get most of the features of an apple watch ultra
I'm not sure they need to do anything. They've got watches which have different feature sets, different screen tech and different charging capabilities, all at different price points. Nothing wrong with that - Samsung have been doing that for years with smartphones.
@@savagedriver1967 this watch is the same price as an apple watch se. The SE does full touchless triathlon and running power. This watch, with connected GPS, shouldn't be more than $200 CAD
@@jarretgosbee7717 besides the fact they u cant do triathlon on SE cause batterly lige is 24h max without gps ant etc
Better for Garmin to stay in rugged design + gps, all these smartwatch futures will not fly in longer perspective.
Cant even see the watch hands
Review the watch and say no word about the strap...
Garmin is a mess way too many products that make it confusing. This is coming as a 955 owner.
this is a downgrade from the style
