I absolutely love how this opens on "Saucerful of Secrets" then it flows smoothly into the epic that is "Remember A Day". That whole album is glorious moon dust meteor shower magic!
Interstellar Overdrive is from Piper At The Gates Of Dawn 🤔
@@williamhorner6080 lol so is Astronomy Domine but it's Floyd, it's all celestial magic my brother.
Sorry but Pink Floyd without Waters don't exist...he was the leader and the creative artist the rest are, yes, beatiful musicians.
@@davidsebasti7453Ok, but a saucerful of secrets was indeed released when Roger was still in the group.
This video's quality is even better than the 80s live. LOL.
Yeah, during the age of video tape it was easy for tape reels to get worn out over time causing distortion and color loss. At least with film, if stored right the picture comes out pretty good. How they digitize the film/video also comes into play.
@@trinitron384WWI and WWII files are better than the The Wall tour files
Mypp
The Track is from 1968 ... LOL
@@OsbalDoee dont you know the reason why
Amazing watching them find their style.
I never knew you could dance to Pink Floyd!
Then you never got "A Collection of Great Dance Songs" by Pink Floyd! :D
Hehehe...
You can't. These people are clowns
These people never knew that you couldn't dance to Pink Floyd.
@@standandeliver8376 obviously
You don't see too many bass players carry an intro riff into a song like that. Well played, Waters!
It's like master of puppets by metallica
What you think?
@@hariomvishwakarma1403 not even close
Pink Floyd and Metallica are two very different genres. Cliff Burton was a good bass guitarist but definitely not as good as Roger Waters or other greats that came out during the late 60s through the 70s.
Great!!!
@@hariomvishwakarma1403 It's the other way around.
Just to have a hit of acid from those days!! I loved to trip and get lost in Floyd. 66yrs now, I still think of the good old days. The acid, Mexican weed, home grown one hits, boones farm!!!
I'm always amazed seeing these old videos of the Floyd playing live and people trying to dance to their music. I guess they were so stoned it didn't matter to them.
They were way more stoned than the band
😂.
Payroll this was a shoot essentially .
Every day another version of let there be more light
Fine by me
Let there be more versions. ;)
@@doantidoto hahahahahahahahaha boa
Every day is a good day )))
Holy shit. The audio and video quality is great. The dancing is so surrealist, like if you made a soundless video of just this people dancing the internet would go crazy over it literally no one would know wtf is going on and there would be lots of weird theories. Also the song is perfect and this performance is gold
Those were the days!
This solo is amazing... David Gilmour truly brought a lot to the Floyd; even before 'Darkside.
Especially before DSOTM, which I consider a fair album at best.
@@stephengorin2685 “a fair album at best” 🤓
Yes, considering he joined the band in 1968.
@@stephengorin2685 look how im different i hate on dsotm guys. why does no one love me???
David Gilmour said Jimi Hendrix hold my beer during this songs solo
David’s solo was fantastic. He was gorgeous, as well.
That's not David. That was Syd Barrett.
@@UncleSerenitythere is no Syd in this video. That’s Gilmour. That song was written after Syd forced out of the band.
Come non vedere che si tratta di David, il video è chiaro, Syd era completamente diverso, anche come voce. Comunque io li amerò per sempre tutti 5 . Per L'eternità.❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
finally, a live performance that isn't lip sync
Last week wasn't lip sync.
They never did lyp sync, the man who controls the TH-cam page puts the studio song on the live video.
I think that often TV promotional performances _had_ to be lip-synced. And, sadly, TV promo performances are the ones mostly likely to be recorded, 'cause they're, well, TV performances.
@@ВадимБаев-с9в You are right, but not them, if you buy "The Early Years Box-Set" you can see these videos with the original audio, and you will notice that they are completely live performances.
@Aritra Dutta I disagree! The Camera's aren't on David when he sings. And DG has never been called out for Lip Synching.
There will always be rock bands...But there will be only one Pink Floyd.
Too true.
King crimson>>pink floyd
Entièrement d'accord avec vous
Vraiment super. Du Pink Floyd tout simplement
@@rodpoo7706 Why not both
0:50 Didn't see David yet and I was like "no way! Is that Gilmour dancing?" 😂😂
Just "liking" all these Pink Floyd videos isn't enough... we need a "love" button equivalent to 100,000 likes
Definitely one of the best albums of 1968, the talent is astonishing, their music just takes you somewhere else. Pink Floyd, quite simply one of the greatest bands ever.
I would say that 68 was the best year ever for albums, Electric Lady Land , S.F .Sorrow, White Album,to name but a few 😎
@@growlerthe2nd712 well, in 73, you had Larks' Tongues in Aspic, Mekhanik Destructiw Kommandoh, Tales From Topographic Oceans, Brain Salad Surgery
The best performance of Let There Be More Light , one of the best solos of Gilmour.
It was wyd barret, the lead guitarist and singer of pink Floyd until taking too many psychedelics and going into a permanent insanity
And therefore permanent seclusion
That's when David Gilmour took his place after syd never showed up for rehearsal
This video is with syd and in my opinion showed alot of the guitar solos and playing that were inspired by Gilmore probably hearing their fists hits like this
@@daranjoseph1782 thats gilmour you fucking idiot
@@daranjoseph1782Syd was out of the band by the time the song was written, meaning its Gilmour on this version and all other versions of this song.
@@daranjoseph1782This video is with David, mate
its a pretty average performance actually. Gilmour's singing is flat.
Killer solo, damn this should have been in the album, love the girls dancing to the music.
Yeah! One really dances to Nick's drums , she clued into the rhythm.
Let There Be More Fridays
Honestly, I thought I would never live long enough to see people dance to Pink Floyd!😊
Especially a song with such tempo changes.
No sh*t, I was thinking the exact same thing....
The acid was very strong back then.
@@nitromartini1422I guess so!😅
@@nitromartini1422 More Raw, unlike the chemically treated and adulterated ones in use today
Psychelic vibe fills the air. Fabulous intro . Pink FLoyd rules universe.
Cela fait 50 ans que j’écoute et adore Pink Floyd ! Et ce genre de « mini concert » est une pépite.
A killer contemporary live version of 'Let there Be More Light'? I never thought I'd live to see the day!
This last summer I saw Roger for the first time. Life changing. As soon as David goes on tour I’ll be seeing him too. Best band I’ve ever heard 0 question
Old times, when there weren't so many disagreements and what was really important was music,
Yep other than the war in Vietnam, the murder of RFK and MLK the DC riots , yup peaceful times if you’re a strung out hippie I guess
This song made me remember that Pink Floyd started as a psychedelic rock band
They kept their psychedelic elements in their music all the time
true, later it became so sentimental and boring. This song is from the second album, right? I think Syd was part of this album
@@Josouto1 I think it's not sentimental and boring. It's more commercial and Pink Floyd became more popular.
Los Destellos laugh at this...jajaja XDDD
@@Josouto1 muy equibocado..evolucionaron más al rock progresivo
There will never be another Pink Floyd. My favorite band forever.
Happy 80 years Roger !
I love everything about this video! The quality of sound and video. The dancing and the fashion! Everything ❤️
Wouldn't you love it more if the CAMERA was on David singing and playing guitar? Sad he was the least person seen!!
Jules Rose yes that was the only thing I didn’t love
Fantastico questo filmato.
Tanti cari saluti dall'Italia 😀👋🏻👋🏻
Gorgeous David killin’ it on guitar; early version. 🥰 And Liza Minnelli there looks like she’s really into it all too!😄
I got chills...MIND BLOWN 🤯
I wouldn't believe people could dance to it if I didn't see it with my own eyes.
Some people dance to the Rythm others to the Beat - it's whatever moves you.
Just a dose
Probably they took something. I guessed
The other week I danced to Lucifer Sam with my dogs in the sitting room, I live on the Island of Elba. I am 64. 😃
It's hard to understand when people need extasy to dance...
The French loved Pink Floyd
I have the same feeling. The World loved them more than the UK people.
This is true. Eye stayed in Montreal over a few summers and heard Pink Floyd everywhere, from cars to balcony's walking around town to stores, and in parks. Every day several times would hear Floyd. Heavenly :-)
That may not be a compliment.
They also love Kevin MacDonald. Or as they call him, Le Poopee
They still do :)
I'm 11 and I listen to the Floyd
I was 11 when I first listened to them, 1970! My favourite forever ❤️ Enjoy the ride my friend
Jules Rose I first started on Dark Side in late 2017 when I was 9/10 and It changed my life, not only that but around that time was the first time many things like me being aware of my life because my parents broke up, and I was infatuated for the first time, and I was only in 4th Grade, and Now I'm heading to Middle school. As the whole year of 2018 went by, I got more and more into them, from "Several Species of Small Furry Aninals Gathered Together and Groiving with a Pict" to "Biding my time". And now I listen to Different Pink Floyd Albums And It reminds me of the time I Discovered Them, Even the Roger Waters/Ron Geesin Soundtrack "music from The Body"!
You're 13 now...............welcome to the pink floyd musical family. You have great taste in music ~ kimie
@@BrentMFisher yup, and thank you :)
I'm 16 and I don't care *joking*
*This is type of music I love. The leads, the drums everything is just so perfect. The comfortable dancing is like the icing on the cake.*
My Favourite Album A Saurceful Of Secrets 😍❤️❤️
Freak 4517 never heard that before
@@aclarkk5462 Really?You don't know A Saurceful Of Secrets? It's fantastic!
Freak 4517 I know the album it is pretty good, but I never heard anyone say it was there favorite.
yes my favourite too.
It probably would be mine too but the title track is the only song I don't listen to when I put on the the album.
Imagine all these lucky people unknowing that they were only a feet from music Royalty who changed the history of music. Imagine getting to walk up to Gilmour, Waters, Wright or Mason and talk openly with them? “Hey Dave, can I grab you drink in between songs?” Amazing.
Nah, they all are just stoned
Amazing band amazing song. Loved it
One can never get enough Let There Be More Light! Keep it coming!
Le Pink Floyd!!!!!!
David is always overlooked with how insane he was at guitar when he first joined, syd was a genius but Dave has always been a passionate guitar wizard who loved Blues and the brand new age Of Rock and Roll, long live the floyd!
Merci pour être là. Pink Floyd existe et existera toujours à travers nous
Rock bands are rock bands. Pink Floyd is Pink Floyd.
Led Zeppelin is in that same boat,.
Damn, Revisiting this a year later, and lemme say the Quality for this from the 60s is stunning
É uma relíquia! Tudo do Pink Floyd é bom!
Bravo, Bravo, bravisimo son buenos de un comienzo hasta el fin lindo sería que permanecieran juntos!!!!!!!.....
I like how their live versions are always better than the studio versions.
Back then going to see pink Floyd would have been like going to see a jazz band they would play the same song differently every night
Those dancing girls are magical and beautiful ❤️
This has to be the best live version of this song
Hello !
I'm out here!
Your not alone!
Love the extended jam on this one. There were some great songs on Saucerful of Secrets, it's great to hear a live version.
At least the dancers look like their having a great time! All to often dancers and audience was prepared beforehand, often to do nothing! These people having a great time! Wish I could have been there!
Groovy!
Nick showing that drum kit NO mercy.
What a solo, by Gilmour!
His first one for pink floyd!

Increiblemente magico haber encontrado este video..realmente..descubri,encontre..un Tesoro escondido.
Ģracias x publicar esta joya.
Gilmour Genio.. te Amo desde siempre.
Pink Floyd la mejor banda de todos los tiempos❤
If Waters were the guitar player, he would invented heavy metal with the opening riff
You could actually say that this piece is the first psychedelic or stoner metal ever recorded.
I always thought it sounded like schism and 46 & 2
@@Pladderkasse ehhh Astronomy Domine was before this and was pretty psychedelic
@@zotron9228 Yes, but Let There Be More Light is arguably heavier and more of a standard rock tune, thus making it more akin to modern stoner rock.
@@Pladderkasse I disagree, nothing personal lol, I see it as much more of an acid rock piece than stoner rock (though the two are kinda the same). The change in tempo and beginning is also reminiscent of early prog rock
Thank you for sharing all these rare versions!♥️
Espectacular!!!!!!!
Conocí la música de los 60 escuchando el álbum "saucerful of secrets". Me voló la peluca!!!!!!
this video is pure gold

Everyone there is high AF!! Lol so lucky!!!
No tripping- it was level at the time 😜
Nick was always the coolest guy on stage ❤
