What was said was essentially that muslims could have Jordan and jews could have Israel, much like India was partitioned. I think it's fine. It backfired when the Palestinians sent rockets into Israeli population centres. Gaza became a hotbed for terror and Hamas came to rule it ever since when it was voted for power and never held elections since.
