I used a sander with built in suction and dust collector. I am monitored by the EPA on a daily basis and face eviction from the boat yard if I don’t adhere to their guidelines.
Hey, Garrett - How are you doing? I was looking at that blue Sun Legend parked next to you earlier this year. Your Hinckley is a stunning boat !! . I just moved up to Pt. Townsend and purchased a 1981 Contessa 39. Also been doing a bunch of deliveries. I hope you are doing well
I assume you had trouble getting your tape off because it was on more than one day. Use silver 3M Scotch tape 225. It is hard to find and about $100 a roll but can be in the sun in Florida for days, even weeks and still come off clean. Be aware that it cannot be stored in a hot environment (like a hot warehouse) or it will constantly break when you try to remove it. Also, water doesn’t affect it
It was excellent tape and was worth the money at the time, but it’s been discontinued. That’s more than ok because now there’s Washi ultra premium painter’s tape that may be just as good at about $8 a 1” roll.
Thank you! I am very close to being in the water! I am going to try and get all my videos caught up just before launch so I can focus on sailing videos!
Thank you! No I’m doing everything myself haha. I get a hand from friends occasionally though. When I say “we” I mean us! You, me, and all my viewers! The Vanda Crew! Haha
Thumb down for not using a vacuum cleaner when sanding.

Really cool and classy color pic.
I'm going to paint my boat in couple of weeks with this exact color. Perfectly fits with teak bow.
You can't beat a Hinckleys lines just a beautiful boat. You did her justice with the paint job.
Thank you I agree haha!
She’s a beauty Garrett. Fair winds …

You are living the dream bro whatever you do don't stop cool video!!!
Thank you! 🙏
Nice job!

That's really expensive 😢

@@susanc.8009 I wonder why they discontinued it.
That's more reasonable and realistic price for the tape. I'll look up. Thanks for the info 🤗
I think a Hinckley salesman told me it would cost around $50 or 60k to paint the deck on a B-40. Now I know why.
This is Miss Violet your boat is really looking beautiful. I know your videos are way behind but are you in the water ?
