    May I ask something, Sir? How B cell creates IgD when Mu and delta segment always cleaved together? Thank you

    • @areumharu5480
      @areumharu5480 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      My answer is probably a bit late and I can only guess but as far as I know when IgD is produced, IgM is also produced, seems like IgD definitely cannot be produced if IgM isn't since they sit in the same region. Also since the frequency of IgD is below 1% i think there must be a specific pathway that somehow overgoes the immunoglobulin becoming an IgM. I know this is not really an answer to your question, just my thoughts.

    • @rajad1132
      @rajad1132 4 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      You didn’t listen carefully then.. there is a small chance of recombination between the blue dots. Then if it’s between M&D, there will be IgD. And if both are cleaved together only IgM will be produced which has the highest concentration by the way

    According to the blue dots you made on the board, IgD will never be made as it'll never be joint directly after variable region. Then How is IgD made?

    • @martinmbugua7944
      @martinmbugua7944 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      IgD is expressed alongside IgM in immature B cells. So it is already there as a B cell receptor

    Okay so just I make sure, when the plasma cell makes antibodies they all have same vdj sequence because they all are specific to one antigen right? But the type switching happens on the constant region.

  • @jessicayin3290
    @jessicayin3290 ปีที่แล้ว

    I have a quick question. For the constant region recombination, there seems to be no recombination site between M and D. So how can IgD be expressed if it seemed to be masked by IgM. thanks

  • @nilanjanamedhi7258
    @nilanjanamedhi7258 5 ปีที่แล้ว

    Sir you said that hey will always recombine at those fixed positions. If thats the case IgD will never be formed, because between M and D there is no recombination site. Isn't it sir?

  • @shrutichauhan7347

    1) is the both variations occur simultaneously or one at a time
