    I have searched all over the internet to figure out why my plush yarn curls and I could not find any answers anywhere. You are the first person who actually answered my question and foxed my problem. Thank you so much

    Thanks for the tips! I tend the have a cone shape with the start of my projects that use thicker yarn. But I am using the recommend hook size. I might try to go up one more size and see if that helps. Thanks!

      I hope it helps! Also, depending on the project, the slight cone shape sometimes doesn't matter as it can sometimes get minimised by stuffing etc.

    Thank you for all the tips! Do you have any advice how to get rid of the cone head after the plushie is done? I have almost completed my project and don't want to take the whole thing apart to start over with a bigger hook so I'm wondering if you know how to get rid of it after?

    • @ashkr4903
      @ashkr4903 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      did you finish off properly? You can try to insert the yarn in the cone shape and pull through the head to kind of make it sink.

    Hi! I struggle a lot with this type of yarn. I’ve been crocheting for years, but just started out with this type of yarn. When I crochet with this yarn some stitches on the outside “bubble”. They poke out and it looks super ugly. I’ve tried crocheting a bit tighter but it didn’t solve the problem. On the internet I couldn’t find a solution so lets try here! Tips and tricks please!😅

      I think it has to do with when you do a stitch and accidentaly take a strand that you tool by accident it enlarges that stich and that may be the issue, not sure though! Hope it helped

    • @katyeleanor7827
      @katyeleanor7827 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      30° wash, don’t tumble dry just air dry :)

    • @jelen2579
      @jelen2579 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Get soapy water and gently massage it i guess?
      Dry in the sun if the yarn is okay with it. Sometimes the yarn will have instructions to only dry in the shade.

    Hi, great tips, but my problems is when sewing in my ends they keep coming out. I have tried using long strands and weaving
    them into the stitches but at the very last entry point it still comes out. I have made several toys for my grandkids and after time
    they look terrible with all the strands coming out. Not sure what I"m doing wrong, i think its because the yarn is a bit silky so works
    tis way out easily or is it just me. Do you have any tips for this please? thanks Mandy

    hello! fellow aussie here! so how do you get the hobbii yarn? I'm assuming that you order it from canada (which is where the brand is located) or is there a place in aus that does it. Do you reccommend any yarns that you can get in australia at like spotlight? Wanting to do this but dont wanna wait forever for yarn to be shipped from canada!! :)))

    • @RoseandLilyAmigurumi
      @RoseandLilyAmigurumi  3 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Hey! I wish Spotlight or Lincraft stocked yarn like this! I get Hobbii yarn from their website (delivery is from Denmark and pretty quick) or I order James C Brett from Lovecrafts online. You might find some Himalaya Dolphin Baby which is very similar, in the mill end bins in spotlight (4 pack for $10). I’m waiting for Australia to catch up honestly 😂

    • @aimsanimations2905
      @aimsanimations2905 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@jelen2579 I’m no expert, but if your yarn is like that of the video, I would say somewhere in the range of 4.75-5.5, though 5.5 *might* be too big. For yarn like that I typically use a 4.75, and it works great for me! I would go no lower than 4.25 if you choose that route, either. Hope this helps!
