Amazing collection of fish, nice pompano and whiting at first I also thought that was a sea robin as well but it is oyster toadfish. Wonder what the remora was swimming with.
The little guy was a searobin (specifically a Striped Searobin/Prionotus Evolans) for sure - been throwing those guys back a bunch the last few weeks. They look a little weird when they tuck their fins in like that, but if you grip them lightly with your fingertips by the top of their head between the eyes and the middle of their lower jaw they'll fan out and look cool for pictures.
I'll be coming through the panhandle in December on my way to Biloxi on the way back I'd like to stop somewhere and put a bunch of whiting in my freezer any ideas where I should stop willing to stop anywhere from the Alabama line all the way to Big bend
@3:00mins...isn't that the tyre you poked awhile back? 😹 Did you get a new one or patch the old? I'd think a patch would be cheaper.🤔 ..missing the Ladies😿🙏🙏🙏
I’m guessing Sea Robin. No expert, but we were there 3 weeks ago and that’s pretty much all we caught. I bet between me and my buddy we caught 50 of those over the week we were there. Frustrating.
That's not an oyster toad (those things are a plague in NC where I fish) or a sea robin. It's some kind of puffer species but there's so many I'm just not sure which one. We only get the northern and southern puffers around here. The southern ones are excellent to eat 👌.
Great to see you surf fishing!
Love your surf fishing videos! ❤
Nice day on the beach! Thank you Matt for sharing :)
Enjoyed, thank sharing
Great video as always Triple B.
Your channel is one of the best places on TH-cam for quality content. Thank you for all your hard work!🏚🚖🦾
Good to see you out there. I am at the beach this week. Stopped by Beach Bum Outdoors today. Hope to catch a Spanish this week.

Nice session Matt. If you don't want to keep the catfish, I know what I would do. I would fillet it up and throw it out as a big bait.
Gotta love the whiting ceviche. Hoping our wind chills out soon, fishing been tough.
Using multiple fishing rods will probably increase concentration
Your videos are always admirable and inspiring. Keep it up!🫦🥧🐊
Waiting on another Fishing not catching podcast!
Spines and pokey things LOL and I have no clue what that fish was, but that was a great description of it !!! 🧨🧨🧨
Do you use a shock leader at all?
Yep, definite sea robin.
how many poles are you using?
You really notice the cold water waiting out when it hits laugh out loud
What size reels are those?
Nice triple tail at the end
"It's a shark, sucker". Bwahaha. "It's a remora, sir" would have been more appropriate.
Whenever I am there, I am the catfish king 😂
Oyster Toadfish. The bane of my life when fishing in the Hudson River. If you've got a hi-lo rig on they'll happily ingest both hooks.
what brand of beach cart are you using
What kind of cart is that and how do you transport it?
Courtney and the Little One be good to see them with you
How about posting your whiting ceviche recipe?

You need to come to the panhandle. We've been crushing the Pompano here.
How long is the fall pompano “season” coming down for Thanksgiving.
Great video beach bum 👌 it's good to see you bumming around 😂😂😂😂

Sea robin
Is that the same hole in your tire from the other day ? 😁 lol
maybe the patch. I🤣
How does a beach get abandoned
Might have been a moon gazer

Beard looks like it has the mange 😂
Bro chill😂😂😂
Kinda hard to see but it wasn't a Toadfish was is?
Striped searobin
We always called it a mother-in-law fish
Never carry a phone when fishing, it's my get away from everyday things
Same
WHY DON'T YOU GIVE FRED THE CATFISH????? I KNOW YOU GUYS DON'T SEEM TO KEEP THEM, SO WHY NOT GIVE THEM TO FRED???????????

when i first saw that ugly catch i thought dog fish
Oyster Toadfish AKA bait stealer.
An abandoned beach?? For the love of god, stop with the ''abandoned this and that'' BS
