You have inspired me to think about joining the coast guard, your content is pretty good so i wouldn't be surprised if in a few months/years you get huge keep it up
Im in the process to join in the Coast Guard I past the Asvab and I got qualified to be a ME which is exactly what I want it to do. I got to do the meps part of it and I’ll be ready for boot camp
I am considering joining as a CS . The bonus is huge . I scored well on my asvab and have been encouraged to select a different MOS . Any suggestions ?

I hold a Merchant Marine license above deck only but from my experience in the main propulsion division way back in the day I'm very comfortable when I have to go in the hole lol but I had enough of that.
I'm so confused and cant find any info anywhere. So i want to do LE in the CG but from what i hear ME is a long wait. So im thinking about going bm. What my question is do BM's get to participate in LE? I.E. boarding, tac gear, rifles, ect.
SwayeJ Productions Absolutely! BMs and MKs are the lifeblood of law enforcement. MEs play a big role too obviously but one of every BM and MKs primary roles at their unit is LE related. You can start working on it early too, getting qualified as a Boarding Team Member as a fireman or seaman and then a Boarding Officer as a BM3 or MK3
@@Peteiredale8812 law enforcement is independent from your rating, there are boarding team members of all rates (if they make the effort to get certified). So yeah obviously working on machinery does not translate.. but completing the qualification to become a boarding officer or boarding team member can be accomplished separately
@@d00ditsjeremy that's cool I didn't know that thanks ! How long is the qualification for boarding and what exactly does someone boarding do when they board a ship?
i was kicked out from the Army for article 5-11 for asthma, i will start a project studying at an auto mechanic school, my question is. Can i go back to the military and be an MK with my medical history in the Coast Guard?
Great channel sir! Appreciate all the info provided. Any input on going IT vs ET? I understand the main difference but specifically im curious how well people enoy these fields and what type of civilian careers one could get into after the CG? Cheers
