The cut in tuition assistance is absurd. Congress should be ashamed of itself for not properly the USCG. I retired from the military in 2009 and rec'd an ROTC scholarship that enabled me to do my last 2 years of college debt free.
If I enlist without a bachelors how many years do I get to serve? I currently want to start again from scratch on getting a bachelors since I didn't get to finish my current one. But I do want to go to HS A School. Juggling between the two will be a struggle but on contract wise, without a Bachelors degree how many years of contract do they give you?

Military Journeymen hi! thank you for answering. i’m able to retake the asvab right now but it would have to take longer to join the coast guard so i can study, but would you recommend me to retake before or after i officially enlist?
Julian Miyata it will be? Lol the admin of his companies FB group told me hi could be underway for weeks at a time with no communication (he'd "go dark").

Most likely no cuz u are going to be busy with military life.
@julianmiyata which kind of duty station (ie. ATON, AIR STATION SBS ETC.) is better to have time for education as a non-rate?
good question. sectors, airstations, ant, sbs, they are all good. Worst i would say is a cutter.
