Hello there, how long do you think it took you from beginning to end. Just for the mechanical and replacement parts ??? I guy estimated 1hr to replace mine, after watching your video I have serious doubts.
Hope you changed the hose under there... And also the intake gaskets.. I have a 2000 solara with 112000 miles. It never had any work done. So I'm doing everything. Timing belt kit, seals, water pump, valve cover gaskets, intake gaskets, knocks sensors, knock wire, coolant temp sensors and both air fuel O2 sensors. Oh yeah front and rear shocks and tires are after that. I got the car free for doing some electrical work for there family. Thanks for sharing
Word to the wise, replace them with the original Denso parts, not aftermarket, and replace the wiring harness too as it gets cooked sitting on top of the engine.
2002 here with the same knock sensor check engine light code. From what I've heard, the wiring harness gets cooked by the engine heat over the years and should also be replaced while the engine is apart. I now see why my repair shop charges $1500, but that's better than $2500 the dealer wants.
I would have liked a close up of the knock sensors before you removed them since that was the whole reason i watched this video. Other than that, good job.
