What does the sensor do and why did you have to replace it

Mines toast also on my 99, but after watching that, it's too much of a pain in the ass too do so it's going to stay broken

So i wanted mine done like that but every shop i went to said that chrome cant be painted no matter what. So i dont get it.

I think detailers that want you paying their expensive prices for something you can do yourself really hate F11. The thought of a product that can do every surface on your car really pisses them off.

How long did it end up lasting you? I just cut one out for my x3 (plexi) and installed it. Used window seal around the edges and installed a manual wiper. Its already scratched from applying rain x plastic. Thinking i should have gotten poly instead.

I would have liked a close up of the knock sensors before you removed them since that was the whole reason i watched this video. Other than that, good job.

I don’t know if he’s part of the scam or just insanely ignorant. All of that water is stuck to the truck. That is the worst example I’ve seen so far. Exactly what we are attempting to correct. Nova Jet is the best I’ve used, it actually works, but it’s hard to find. Do NOT buy F11, give your money to anything but that crap.

Gee, did I miss something here? First, do not use your phone camera to film a removal process as it has a very narrow window. Second, turn off that awful background music. And third, as @Vincentschneider007 says "Where are you showing us anything". You simply turn camera off, then come back with the part in hand. That is not documenting how its done!.

Did you only use one strip?

Wish you showed more of removing the fender vents - there doesn't seem to be a great tutorial or instructions on this anywhere

Hope you changed the hose under there... And also the intake gaskets.. I have a 2000 solara with 112000 miles. It never had any work done. So I'm doing everything. Timing belt kit, seals, water pump, valve cover gaskets, intake gaskets, knocks sensors, knock wire, coolant temp sensors and both air fuel O2 sensors. Oh yeah front and rear shocks and tires are after that. I got the car free for doing some electrical work for there family. Thanks for sharing

4:10 you gotta open the main tailgate first... and side note, if you have a hitch on and open that secondary tailgate it's likely to smack your hitch and leave a nice big ding in your tailgate, so check first!

Did you remove the grille? If yes... how? I know there are 4 10mm under the plastic cover ... and I know there are clips that the grille snaps into... but how do you remove the small panels below the headlamps?

they sell a complete rebuild kit for the pump, it's just bunch of rubber gaskets for the internals.. It's fairly straight forward if it's something you'd like to take on as project, I think it's around $25.. the dealer sells it for around 60 if you want oem parts

Word to the wise, replace them with the original Denso parts, not aftermarket, and replace the wiring harness too as it gets cooked sitting on top of the engine.

Just checking to see if you ever got them working right. I'm about to do a similar install. When checking for polarity did you check the other side that isn't plugged into the harness? The resistors are polarity sensitive also
