I just upgraded to a hewes light tackle and wanted to get more into fishing the lake. I actually bought this map awile ago. And wanted to learn to fish the lake more guess I'll be idling alot more in the beginning.
Went recently for the first time to Lake Okeechobee Park just for sightseeing, going back in September with plans to stay a day or two and try to catch some bass, not common to see a local sharing so much valuable and detailed info, I will be looking you up for your services Captain, thank you very much for the upload.

Awesome video!!! Be careful around little grassy/eagle bay.when the lake is low you can get hurt.It can look safe to turn off the main channels but I have floated into inches of water at times and it can be deceiving especially when the water is dirty
Put a deposit on my new home yesterday in Okeechobee city. As soon as I sell my house up north I will be living here full-time.I have been looking around at guides and will be contacting you as soon as I am here. Not necessarily looking for a lot of fish but more so to learn the lake. You will be hearing from me. By the way great video!

Great video. Thanks for all the information. I wasn’t aware of all of the hazards till now. I live less than 2 hours from the lake and fish it every once in a while. Spend most of my time on the Kissimmee Chain. The times I have been on Okeechobee I’ve been lucky not to hit anything. Appreciate you sharing your knowledge of the lake. Keep up the good work.
Kreamer island use to be all farmlands there is a lot of sunken tractor disks motor blocks fence posts etc definitely be careful running around the insides
I agree with all these other people. Fantastic information about the Big O. We fished for 13 yrs. on vacation before moving down here and then BOOM.. the lake is totally different and disappointing. So we started fishing the smaller lakes and catching monsters!!! But our love for the Big O keeps us still trying and this information really helps us to learn more about Lake Okeechobee.
