Hi, i am starting hartpury (college) in September and i am bringing my horse! could you do a everything you need to know about hartpury and bringing your horse to hartpury? 😊
Amy The Equestrain you apply,go to a interview depending if you our doing riding or non you do a riding assessment and then they get back to you if you got in ☺️
as someone who goes to Hartpury, if you're equine or sport you're going to love it as the facilities are amazing! anything else and you'll be disappointed!
I'm a second year Equine Science student at bishop Burton college, interesting to know what hartpury is like I got accepted but I really loved bishop Burton so ended up going there. We have exactly the same level of facilities and an Olympic size indoor aswell as 6 other arenas. Livery is the same we can't keep our horses there over the holidays unless they are on full livery. We can't leave our horses out over night unfortunately but we get a decent amount of turnout.
Hi could you please do an in-depth video on a stable. What kind of matting you use and what type of bedding. Also how you feed them and water them. Also do you use nets or troughs for hay in the stables. How long are they stabled for. Everything. Thanks!!!
I'm studying Horsemanship and Equitation in Kildalton College in Ireland, and we have 3 arenas and a cross country course but its for nearly 100 people and its always so cramped! And our day has so many classes on the yard that sometimes we don't leave the yard from 7:30 until 5:00! It's all worth it though, I'm sure you can relate

Hello! A wonderful video. Know you didn't really ask for it but just a tip for some groundwork. I saw a lot of behind the bit (to much curve on the neck). Try to lengthen your legs so you can sit a bit back. And release the reins a bit. To avoid making him go on the forehand decrease in pace and then increase it, just making him alert that something is going to happen at any time. Change tempo, do a "sudden" turn, make transitions, canter strike off, but cancel after that. Not knowing something knew is coming he needs to collect to do what you ask. (Ofc you can still do a half halt to make him alert). That will make him collect even if you don't have short reins. Try it out, in the beginning he might loose the balance because he is used to have it in the reins but if you take it slow and being patient he will most certainly find a strength in his back and back legs. And I think? It is a good thing for a jumping horse too. It will be a release for his shoulder. Here and there it looked very good. When you did a side step it looked good when you straightend him out a bit, then it was really good. Amazing how you can keep it up every day. Good job :D Hope you just saw this as a tip and nothing more.
So read up on this place, its very very expensive, not to mention they dont get alot if field time and during breaks your horse isnt allowed to be there, so how do you tackle that? I mean for international students it seems impossible to travel the horse back and from during breaks? But i see a lot of students are international, but to me it just seems impossible. 😂😂
