Loved this one!! I’d love to follow a vet around once a month just to see the wild, crazy, boring, dumb, sad, happy… basically life in a nutshell. 😊 Merry Christmas!
Holly, keep vlogging this type of video, as this is what sets you apart and unique from others working with horses! 🇨🇦🍁❤
Not boring at all, Holly. Any video with cute foals and beautiful scenery is never a waste of time, imho. But I do get your reluctance to vlog on the job and how careful you have to be about confidentiality and not wanting to ask everyone if its ok to film them etc. If that was an average day, it was very long and no wonder you go to bed early. The scenery enroute to the studs was spectacular. It is strange to be in a warm climate for Xmas if you've always lived in a place with clearly defined seasons, especially winter-like weather. I only did that once and it just didn't feel at all like Christmas to me. Happy holidays to you, your family and all your horses. We'll look forward to catching up with you again in 2023 :)
Never boring Holly, thanks for taking the time! Merry Christmas. 🎄🎄
Holly thank you for sharing your day with us. I hope your recovery from covid is fast.
This sort of vlog really sets you apart and is not only interesting and informative it's fun to watch. The more you do it the more comfortable it will be for you, but we all totally understand about private and confidentiality constraints in doing this.
Rocky looks so good too.
Classic Aussie bakery lunch! 👍 Enjoyed the vlog. Hi from Canberra and Merry Christmas. ❤️
It is interesting seeing the different horses and procedures. Thank you for sharing.🐴😷
I love watching your videos! Thank you for taking the time and effort to film, edit, and upload them. I really appreciate it!
Great vlog. We always think our routine isn’t interesting, but it is so refreshing to see someone else’s day in the life! Hope you get better after your covid - such a drain on the energy level. thank you for sharing!!!
Merry Christmas! I always love seeing what vets do.
Thanks, Holly. The crazy thing is that our ordinary (whoever we are) is some-one else’s ‘OMG that’s amazing’. I , for one, was really interested to see how you spend your day at the studs and how much science goes into something so natural (i.e. a fetus taking hold) - i guess because these horses will be top performers and worth a lot 😊
Wow! That was actually so coooool! I loved the vid❤
Thanks for sharing your day. Wishing you a Merry Christmas.
When I saw “Vet” I got so excited. I want to be an Equine Vet. So excited to watch!
Loved this one Holly! You’re a busy lady!! So cool seeing all your hard work of uni paying off and seeing you out in the field!
Lovely to see your day at work! Horse breeding is such an interesting direction 😍
Thanks Holly. You have a really interesting life. I loved this vlog. Merry Christmas and have a happy and healthy 2023. Reading four books is doable, if you don’t do anything else xxxx
Great video, it’s really interesting to see what you’re up to. Such nice stables as well, australia is beautiful!

Your life is very cool! Loved it... happy holidays and hope you're fully recovered from the Ronald soon!!! Thanks so much for sharing! 💗
Love this one! As a vet could you maybe do a vlog on the ridden horse pain ethogram? Just think that would be an awesome cross over with your jumping vlogs 🐴

Christmas mid summer is quite the braintwister for us northern hemisphere people... And even worse when christmas is all about dark nights and snow!
I hope you had a wonderful Christmas in Australia. I would imagine it's a lot different from Christmas in Ireland. I'd love to spend one Christmas in Ireland ot at least in the north of the northern hemisphere. Thanks for taking the time and effort to make this kind of vlog. It is really interesting.
Great vlog Holly! Loved seeing a day in your life. I hope you’re feeling better and Merry Christmas!! 🎄 ❤

Merry Christmas!
You read 46 books WOW! I read 30 as an a-level student so that’s impressiveeee for a vet
I didn’t work most of the time I was in Ireland so had a lot of time for reading! ☺️
Merry Christmas Holly :)

@Holly Lenahan Always Holly!! I'm in the middle of foaling right now. Tonight is quiet, but I've had 2 fillies and 1 colt born already. Still have 2 mares to foal. They aren't due until early January and early February. So I have time yet for them. All the best and try not to work too hard!! LOL Love from Ontario, Canada, Jenn. 💖 🇨🇦

Merry Christmas Holly (-: Marion 🎄🐴
This is great, I have a family of vets and always enjoy being a spy on their days lol 😆
In New Zealand the Thoroughbred Studs also cannot start serving until the 1st of September.
*after the gym* “Jesus Christ, nearly died” very relatable😂😂
thanks for a lovely vlog:D
Really happy to see that vlog as i always wanted to be a vet!
Is the work at studs contract job with clinic or your own?
The studs contract the clinic, I work for the clinic not the studs directly ☺️
Could you recommend a book on breeding and horse color genetics?
this is what I want to do for a career some day. I'm only 16 but I'm currently researching different equine diseases, causes, symptoms, treatments, etc. :D
Wow good on you and best of luck!
Will you be able to show more of your vet work when you're in France with Lauren?
Share your reads!! Can't believe I've only got through 33 books this year with my idiot desk job after seeing what your day is like 😂
The majority of reading got done when I was in Ireland and only working with the horses! 😂
I wish I had worked harder and become a vet as it looks so interesting
Merry Christmas from New zealand
The mares are bred again when they still have a super young foal? Does that not take a toll on their bodies and/or affect milk production for the current foal?
As a very well seasoned groom a d horse owner I've done my share of lunging but was told by an eminent horse vet that it's not good for the horse and puts strain on the limbs. I can see that point of view and tend to long rein youngsters now . What's your thoughts on this as its a subject not really talked about.
First 🥰 have a great Christmas!
♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️
Lazy?!! What a long and busy day!
Also wanted to add do you count audible books as books read we love listening to audible in the car
I haven’t gotten into audio books (yet!) but I would definitely count them! Other wise it wouldn’t be very inclusive for people who may be visually impaired ☺️
Brianna is my sister pretty cool you work with her
I know your channel isn't about books but I would love to know what books you read this year!
Hahah so many comments about this! None of the books are exactly literary classics 😂 mostly absolute guilty pleasure romances 🙈
@@HollyLenahanSJ That's exactly why i wanna know lol those are my absolute faves!!
I have a farm in Kentucky and breed thoroughbreds. You didn't show how you are trans rectally using the ultrasound wand to produce those images. It would be educational to show everyone how it is done. You are lucky though to have the safety of stocks for the mare. I manually palpate my mares in some cases for follicles and ovulation and built straw bale stocks and tie the mare as I am working alone.
The best equine vet in Australia is Dr Scott Norman PhD.
Holly you are a beautiful lady ❤
👍❤🐎🎄
As a mother I have to tell you to eat better or you will lose your health. Crackers and bakery stuff, not good. Vegetables and protein better. You are young but will wear on you.
Baby Foal?? What kind of horse person made that label for this video.
