That eBay thing happened to me before as I was selling a game on eBay I never received the payment via PayPal , turns out it was because it sent the money to my eBay email address which was different at the time from my PayPal address... In the end he got refunded and sent me the money to the correct address and I sent the Game. Sometimes things like this look like scams but a lot of the times it's eBay doing weird stuff

I have doubts this person was the original owner and that this was a failed repair, amazing video. I plan on getting a parts iPhone 6 to fix mine which is sitting with a bad battery and screen in the bot

I used to work in a repair shop that among many other brands like Sony, lg and Nokia we (and by we I mean just me an underpaid apprentice) we would repair a lot of old iPhones between iPhone 3 - 6s.
Well ofc being an underpaid apprentice I wasn't a happy feller and left notes inside the phones saying "this phone was repaired by a shite shop" in the phones afterwards
These weren't customer phones they were resold on eBay afterwards.

1:50 To be fair, my father´s iphone 6s plus battery tabs looked far worst alligned when I opened it, and it was bought brand new on apple and was never tore down before, so although rare, apple does sometimes screw battery tabs

I bought a 6s advertised as new, 2 years after use I crack the screen and when I go to replace it, I find out that it was a poorly refurbished phone. No heat plate, sealant, brackets and loose & missing screws. 🤷🏼♀️

Hey Hugh, how exactly did you figure out wether or not the iPhone was not iCloud locked when you purchased it? Did you use an IMEI checker? I know that Apple has taken down their utility to determine if iCloud has been removed as of about 2 years ago.

I hate the term "refurbished". If it's not refurbished directly from Apple, it's an abused term to sucker in cheap or first time used phone buyers. Almost always a loosing gamble, you're better off buying a really nice used one from someone where you can see/tell the history. Non-Apple refurbished phones means all kinds of things, and are almost always flipped phones by shady sellers. This was fun to watch it turn into something I'd actually want. 👍

There is no way of removing an iCloud lock, at least without swapping or reporgramming the chip that cotains the IMEI.

It is pretty easy if you can be very careful. There are many repair guides online.
my 6s is refurb too and used to have a fake battery and would lag when the battery hits 20%! Ever since i replaced it with an original one (battery from another 6s, 85% capacity) it stopped doing that. besides the battery, the cameras have also been replaced (both cams) and also the housing itself. the frame is also broken because the left pentalobe screw keeps falling out so i just taped it in

Hey, could you help me here. I cracked my iPad screen right, and got it repaired at a phone shop. It was all good until I noticed dust going under the screen, and I went to get it re done. They said that the LCD kept on cracking coz apparently I left it on charge over night, but non of my other iPads that I’ve had for longer did this. Keep in mind that I’ve only had this iPad for not even a year. Do you know what’s going on??

The super glue does not have to drip into the camera to destroy it. If you use it around ANY camera lenses to secure them in place, the glue fumes will eventually destroy everything.

If it's not charging it could be your port, your battery, or a chip called "TriStar" on the logic board which controls charging. All are repairable by someone like myself. :)

My iPhone 6S refuses to turn after i left it on charge for a bit. The people at the workshop say it's a board problem and they are charging 75$ for it. I cross checked with another workshop and they said the same thing. Please give me your opinion on this.

The 6s didn’t have the waterproofing seal when you got it because 6s wasn’t water resistant in the first place
Some scams use real batteries, just dead ones, usually marked that way

my 6s doesnt charge and is now dead, it isnt the charging port battery or motherboard what could be wrong? (Used unofficial charger)
Had this issue a few days ago. It's most likely something called the "U2" chip. Cost $60 to repair here in Serbia, maybe it's cheaper where you live.
