Sadly one of the Reasons the Third Game was Scrapped by Konami was the tight Budget and Lack of Expected Sales being Reached. Can you really imagine a Third Installment for Z.O.E. right after MGS V? Kojima Hinted that he was willing to Continue where ZOE the Team left off after they had Split up and Cancelled the Next Installment. Without Nohman the series has lost a Powerful Phychotic Villain to Replace him wouldn't be easy. Theres this and the Anime Spin-Off Sums up how the War between Mars and Earth gets Settled at the end reluctantly as a Separate but still as Lethal On par with Anubis, Orbital Frame Hathor launches itself towards The Earth's Orbital Elevator Platoforms with The Generous Remainder of The Bahram A.I. Units in Tow. You'd need a New Story/Reason for Jehuty to be Re-Used along with the Duplicate Anubis Ken was inside of. Like for Instance, an Extended War on Mars and Other Planets/Moons that threatens the Newly Established Truce between Earth and Mars. Top Secret Weapons Research Organization (Villains) that Surpass Orbital Frame Capacity thus once again Demoting Jehuty's Abilities and Making the Players Feel more Vulnerable than ever despite their God-Like New Self-Regeneration/Repair Sub-System and Zero Shift Capabilities. Z.O.E.- Proves it's worth more as a Retail Anime/Film Adaptation than it is as only a Game. I hope it continues someday if not this Ending was satisfying enough as it is.
Both the animated movie and series were set before Jehuty and Anubis' creation, therefore before the games. They don't show the war is settled. In fact they show how Orbital Frames came to existence. Idolo was first and Dolores was the first with battle AI. Even Nohman was in the anime, so it is sure that they were set before the games. And the self repair, that is basically the definition of an Orbital Frame. They can do that because they are made out of metatron, that is why you pick up metatron ores in the game to heal. I am sure Kojima had the subject of the 3rd game figured out, he mentioned on many occassions that he wants to make a 3rd game, it's just Konami that does not allow him.
[SPOILER WARNING FOR THIS GAME AND DAEMON X MACHINA] Ok so, I think ADA was Aumaan, with that being said...that might have been the inspiration for Four being the Dominator. The similarities line up almost perfectly! This game and the first Z.O.E were great, honestly, I want something like this for the Switch (Or you know, any (mech) game with the whole melee fighting mechanic I guess...The sword clashing makes the battle intense and epic.)
wanna know something cool? during the first mission on Callisto where you kill mosquitos, you can just use melee and it kill em one by one, it'll take forever but it's pretty cool 8:50 just like that

i love how leo was almost a shinji ikari protagonist... and then they put a all-out chad as the protagonist of the second game
Leo is more based off of the first gundam protagonist than shinji.
