Want to know what's new in the world of UK microlighting? The best place to find out is the Popham Microlight Trade Fair, heres our highlights… #pophamairfield #bmaa
Saturday was a fantastic day, Went down with my wife and daughter and they really enjoyed it. My daughter had a go on the BMAA flexwing simulator and loved it. I think someone might be hooked
I was offered a factory new Carbon Design FM250 Vampire II 912 with parachute but analog gauges for 83700€ and it's a good looking plane with aerodynamics to go 240km/h. I thought that was better value than any other plane I know of. And buying it shared with 4 or 8 owners really make the costs manageable or borderline insignificant. I had an Evektor for 2 years including hangar and I felt no financial burden from it and its calendar was wide open because people don't fly that much.
Sorry I never got to meet you guys at the show...... I arrived just after lunch on Saturday and stayed until just after lunch on Sunday flying back in an open cockpit Gyroplane in the drizzle as far as Kemble. Still enjoyed it.👍 I was a flexwing pilot before converting to 3 axis. Now Gyroplanes and think you should include them more as they are here to stay and very capable sport flying tools. I'm willing to introduce any of your panel to them . A flight from our base at Shobdon is available if you get in touch. Kind regards 👍.
@@chrisa7237 Hi mate......it was nice to see you again..... I left as it started raining and had a bit of drizzle as far back as Kemble.....but then it got better and better the rest of the way back. It was a lovely sunny day back at Shobdon with loads of flying activity taking place. A totally different day back there. It's amazing. I have seen a nice video on here with your beautiful aircraft on. Taken at the show. I,LL send you some pictures that I took too. Kind regards 👍
Good to see some flexwings, and my current favorite, the Flylight NiNE, especially as I own one :). I did spot you as I left the BMAA committee meeting but you looked a little bit preoccupied.
Sorry, but the cost of buying a new aircraft is way too much. Even single-seat sub-70s going for £15-20k... seriously!!?? I have a CFM Shadow (2 seater Permit-to-Fly 3 axis fully enclosed microlight), in its own hangar-trailer for sale at £8k. Okay, it's pre-owned, but that's the sort of entry-level money that a newbie should be expected to pay!
Thanks for your work on this, but apart from the Popham threat can I mention that you talk way too much. We are interested in what you say, but if you're going to post up about, you know, Popham Microlight show, then most watching will have been looking to, you know, see the aircraft, not spend 80% listening to you both chatting together. 😂
Good report, chaps, and great to see you there.
Great to see you there and chat (Me-Eddieheli and Wife-Mary looking at the wing of the Sky Leader in your video)

Was there shame you didn’t cover the Skyranger 600 kg and also the one from Ireland on floats !!!
We coverered the SkyRanger last year, and we're hoping to make the trip to cover the amphib at some point

It’s better than patting them :-)
