One of my ESL students is a nail artist. I introduced her to your channel and we studied vocabulary from your tutorials to help her with her job! She was soooo impressed with your videos :)
I think they should add all of the products/tools (brushes, forms, files, ect...) she uses in the description. It would be very helpful for people who want to take her advise and do their nails at home. I love her videos.
Optimistic Adventurer a lot of her products you cant buy unless you have a aesthetician license. There’s no point listing it if nobody can buy it unless you did the schooling
You can buy most professional products on the general market, you just have to do a bit of research and make sure it has a good 2 year standard manufacturer’s warranty & pay through PayPal to make sure if you don’t get your product, you get a refund. Plenty of ways around it, so he’s all the products should be listed.
I've never ever had my nails done professionally before.... but I NEED this in my life. I'm so obsessed with your videos and your art. you are absolutely fantastic!!
These are the most beautiful nails I've ever seen! I do my own version of them on my natural nails all the time with chunky glitter polish. Still working on recreating your flawless smile line, Suzie! I'll never get tired of re-watching this tutorial.
Here I am watching your nail videos(I don't do my nails, I don't even paint them lol) but I can't help but watch! Your voice is so soothing and it's kinda relaxing watching you do nails lol love it!
I got my Acrylics done 1 hour ago, and after seeing this video i want to go back and change them to this design! This is amazing! Love your nails and videos
Yeah...I've never seen or heard or forms until watching your videos, but I can see why they can be a million times better than tips. Seems like it takes much more technique and precision. Thanks for all these videos!
Suzie, I love your artistry and admire your skill. Thank you so much for providing me an opportunity to indulge my girly side when, in reality, I don't get to do my nails at all. Keep the videos coming.
I wish I had a nail artist like you around!!! I can't get anything that they don't want to do or that would take too long for their liking!!!! I've actually started dabbling in doing my own nails!
Right?? None of the local salons here even offer the option of sculpting instead of using tips. And that’s just the first complaint really... most places here, as soon as you come in they just say, “white or clear tips?” and anything else practically seems out of the question.
Yeeesss Suzie you NAILED IT! I love it. I too started doing nails with nail forms and it fits the shape of the clients nail as you said. It tells our age and how long we have been doing nails. When I use nail forms clients have a fit because they want tips. But, using forms are more durable to me
+Blu Berry try and invest in a good nail hardener or a gel polish it works for me .. but only certain ones so play around with the nail hardener polish
+lorra-marie campbell Nail hardener isn't really a great idea in a lot of cases. Use of a hardener can actually make them break MORE, because it causes them to become so stiff and brittle they split, instead of being flexible enough to bend without cracking.
+Blu Berry I know this comment is like a month old, but I love nails and nail art- I'm even studying to become a nail technician- so I wanted to offer some advice. I suggest taking good vitamins suited for your situation, and make sure you get plenty of B vitamins especially, as they're important for hair and nail growth. (But of course, ask your doctor before taking any supplements) REGULAR use of quality cuticle oil and moisturizers, as well as hand creams or lotions (think argon oil, shea butter, vitamin E, all that good stuff) help hydrate your nails and nail beds, which fight off dry, flaky/split cuticles and hangnails, and also allows the nail to reclaim and retain it's natural flexibility (which resists flaking, peeling, and splitting of the nail itself, too!) Not only will they feel better, they'll look better. :) I have some Burt's Bee's Lemon Butter Cuticle cream I use at night paired with an Almond & Milk Hand Cream (By the same company) which I put on before bed every night. It can be kinda on the "heavy" side and takes awhile to soak in, so if you're worried about it transferring onto sheets and other things, you can wear cotton gloves. In the morning (or whenever I can fit it in my schedule) I use less heavy products, including Sally Hansen VitaSurge Cuticle Gel (which has plenty of vitamin E) massaged into the cuticle and nail, followed by this neat Sally Hansen QuickCare Cuticle Treatment Pen I found at the dollar store, also masssged into the cuticle and nail. I follow it all up with a cute little bottle of some inexpensive cuticle oil, on dropped onto the cuticle and under the nail. And, of course, Lotion as necessary. I just used the same stuff I used on my tattoos. This can be applied and reapplied daily, or as often as you deem necessary, whenever you want to treat your nails to some TLC. It sound s like a lot, but the items are relatively inexpensive, and can even be bought online. It only takes me a few minutes to do the whole routine, unless I feel like being extra massage-y!
I get sooo inspired by your videos been doing tips with gelish for 8 years. I now have been trying new designs because of your channel thank you i get so many compliments on my nails
I love this color too! I should just say I love them all lol! I've always liked rose gold and that's what this reminds me of. I'm a huge Black Hills Gold fan which is why I love this. ;-)

I have been to every Solon in my area. there's one around every corner. I use to get my nails done all the time. They all destroy my natural nails and I gave up. Not one of them has your skills. I love your channel even if my nails will never look that good. 😀

Suzie I just love you!!! I have been doing nails for 20+ years and always looking for the next new thing! Thank you for the extra tips! Keep up the good work! -Jess
Love you Susie! I can watch all your videos over and over. I don't do nails but I love watching and learning. Feeling inspired to start doing my own nails! I usually do liquid gel instead of powder acrylic. Could you do a full video on that please?
Hi Betty, Thanks for your comment - yes, I need to do more videos on making Gel Nails. I do have one video, you've probably already seen it, but just in case: th-cam.com/video/UKMiyhLWolo/w-d-xo.html
The benefit and curse of tips is for the sake of speed most nail techs (especially in the states) use them so then all they'll have to do is the 1 ball or 2 ball method with gel or acrylic. The other unfortunate thing is it's "easier" to sell a full set with tips than selling a full set with forms. Tips will cost cheaper and that's all people will ask for "because it's affordable". I've been belittled too often in the salon I work in because not only am I the youngest, but I use forms. Then again, mastering forms is a skill in itself; just can't stand the judgement just because someone does something different... 😔
Belittled? It takes great skill to form nails yourself - you should be proud! Tips are popular because the application is easier and quicker. Don't get into a race to be cheaper. Do superior work, and market your skills - you want discerning clients - not a client who's looking for the cheapest work. Clients who are looking for quality will be your most loyal customers - and become friends too.
Nail Career Education I appreciate the encouragement. 🙂 Out here in Hawai'i it's rare to find techs who use forms for a full set since most use tips. Personally, I can't stand tips. They just don't feel organic to me. I feel more confident with forms because at least I'm COMPLETELY responsible for the shape, length, and structure of the nail right then and there. Again, I honestly think I get the most strife because I'm the youngest in the salon. I keep getting called "the silly munchkin tech". 😅 lol
lnuma92 I would gladly pay more for a nail tech who uses forms- and does more quality work. You get what you pay for!!! I am tired of paying what I do already only to leave unhappy because they do it all the quickest ways possible. It’s very frustrating. For what it’s worth, I feel like using forms instead of tips offers a lot more options. Granted, options don’t seem to be very popular in most of your average nail salons. Hence why I sit on TH-cam all the time watching people actually do it well- and enjoy what they’re doing at that! lol
I_is_katkit you must be a very skilled person n your salon people must b jealus coz they probly cant do it lol I totaly agree with suzies reply aswel for what it costs to get your nails done u want a job well done n neatness should b first priority on the tech’s mind Theres a salon near me that uses tips n i feel the quality n neatness of their work has just gone downhill over time plus they barely speak a word of english so when you ask them to do sum of the posh stuff you see on the internet they seem like they dnt know what your saying and they chat in their own language amongst each other thats even more frustrating lol
First of all that sparkle was gorgeous! But I'm so confused as to why you put oil on the nail before topcoat? Won't that compromise the longevity of the topcoat? Was it a gel or regular polish topcoat?
Alessia Licata I had long strong nails as well. Then I began doing Taekwondo and I was literally crying when they told me I had to cut off my nails to a length where I can't scratch anyone. I was devasted lmao
Omg! I remember when I played piano, and I couldn't grow my nails cuz I just stoped my habit of biting my nails and they were rlly fragile and shitty, but after when I stopped playing piano, my nails were rlly nice and strong cuz I care for them well, and when it was the time, I chose the flute (not the vertical recorder that doesn't work) and now I can grow my nails as long as I want!
The reason why it dries slower is because the glitter/sparkle creates less space for air and air pockets to enter which impacts the curing process by slowing it down.
I absolutely love this woman. I'd give anything to be that good. I really enjoy learning from you. You just come across so nice and friendly. And I know you've had a lot of experience to know what you're talking about. So I believe in your methods way more than others. I'd love for you to do my nails & have you for a teacher. But I guess in a way you have been. Your personality is just the best though. You've given me so many great ideas & tips. So I just wanted to say thanks for that. Sincerely.
where are you located if you don't mind me asking ? ^-^ do you have any tips on finding a good acrylic nail salon ? I've been to 2 places and always have problems with them making the nails really thick and lifting.

Suzie! How do you know what the right shape for your nails are? I have quite chubby fingers. What would be a good shape?
Oval. Oval makes the illusion that your fingers are longer and skinnier.
Almond works best for me
O
Elizabeth Larson i prefer sqrounds, myself, i have squarish beds. fat shorter fingers. not very long, a bit over active length. my preference.
Oval or almond. Possibly coffin style.
I dunno why but I love the matte look on the nails when they are being sanded

You are never to old to do what you want. Who cares what people think! I am 30 and dress like I am 16. 😂
Why create more stereotypes for age?
Never to old for glitter!❤❤
Out here in Hawai'i it's rare to find techs who use forms for a full set since most use tips.
Hence why I sit on TH-cam all the time watching people actually do it well- and enjoy what they’re doing at that! lol
lnuma92 you are so right! I got my nails done for years and have never had someone build a nail... only tips 😞
I_is_katkit you must be a very skilled person n your salon people must b jealus coz they probly cant do it lol
I totaly agree with suzies reply aswel for what it costs to get your nails done u want a job well done n neatness should b first priority on the tech’s mind
Theres a salon near me that uses tips n i feel the quality n neatness of their work has just gone downhill over time plus they barely speak a word of english so when you ask them to do sum of the posh stuff you see on the internet they seem like they dnt know what your saying and they chat in their own language amongst each other thats even more frustrating lol
When I can't sleep, like right now, it's 3am.....I'll watch your video, and it helps me fall asleep. Your voice is so soothing and calm haha
This is so sparkly! gow do you do your right hand??
One of my first videos was about how to do your own nails on your non-dominant hand. Check it Out:th-cam.com/video/zsr7a2lf8yc/w-d-xo.html
7:49 that one sparkle on the base of the nail.........😖
Lovez Cakez hahaha I was staring at that the whole time too like... what about that?.... what are we gonna do about that sparkle tho??😂
Beautiful, classic nails and a perfect colour to match.
First of all that sparkle was gorgeous! But I'm so confused as to why you put oil on the nail before topcoat? Won't that compromise the longevity of the topcoat? Was it a gel or regular polish topcoat?
Yes- oil just before polish is BAD/ I ALWAYS wash the oils off- I should have clarified that 😀sorry
+chantel gregoire Yes, I noticed that too... xxx
+Nail Career Education oh ! Lol ok thank you for replying
I want long nails but I play the violin so my nails have to be short :(
Oh gosh. I remember having to trim my nails for violin. I was devastated lol
Alessia Licata I had long strong nails as well. Then I began doing Taekwondo and I was literally crying when they told me I had to cut off my nails to a length where I can't scratch anyone. I was devasted lmao
same thing with guitar...
Alessia Licata same here, it's a pain because I love the look of long pointed nails
Absolutely GORGEOUS! I want my nails done like this someday.
The reason why it dries slower is because the glitter/sparkle creates less space for air and air pockets to enter which impacts the curing process by slowing it down.
Your video is awesome feel inspired keep doing more do u have beginners guide?
I absolutely love this woman. I'd give anything to be that good. I really enjoy learning from you. You just come across so nice and friendly. And I know you've had a lot of experience to know what you're talking about. So I believe in your methods way more than others. I'd love for you to do my nails & have you for a teacher. But I guess in a way you have been. Your personality is just the best though. You've given me so many great ideas & tips. So I just wanted to say thanks for that. Sincerely.
This reminds me of Bob Ross only for nails.

Just be careful and your nails wont hurt her :P
