Susie you are without a doubt the most easily understood nail artist ever! Cameraman does a fantastic job with your sound and videos. There is none better! Keep up the fabulous work 💖💖
I find it hard to watch other videos because they are not the same suzie and cameraman standard. You can really see a lot of time and effort goes into the actual production of the videos. It's lovely
Suzie - I love how you kept saying to not be hard on yourself when doing nails, especially a French. So many people put themselves down a lot and it's good to hear that it's ok to critique, but not ok to obsess over the flaws in your work. I am in no way ever going to be a nail tech - heck, I've only ever had my nails done once by a pro, and I've only ever used nail polish on natural nails - nor can I afford to get my nails done but I love watching you work and your explanations.
Annette McIntyre if you love doing your own nails never say never. I had a phobia to feet, it was so bad I couldn’t look at peoples feet even if they were pretty without wanting to gag. I had never gone to get my nails done and honestly I still haven’t and then my stylist mentioned to me that she was buying a new building and was going to need help and my youngest was just about to hit school full time so I told her I could be a receptionist and she asked me if I would be interested in being a nail technician, I had always wanted to be a stylist but I have Spina Bifida and I knew I couldn’t stand all day and she knew that as well. Within 2 hours I was signed up for night classes at the local vocational school and within 5 months I was a licensed nail technician and I just renewed my license today going into my 16th year. If it is something you are thinking about then try it! If you are watching her videos and loving them it might be for you. Also a vocational school can take away a lot of the cost if they offer some night classes. I was able to learn things in a very small group setting and I lost my fear of feet as well haha. Never say never. I just wanted to share my story just in case you were thinking about it. I worked in that salon for over 7 years until it was a better fit for me to work out of my home with my declining back. I think if you are looking for a change this might be that something you are looking for. I never thought I would be the one doing this either, but I did it and if I did it anyone can. ✌🏻
@@sandierads4223 thanks for sharing your story, it's very encouraging. I hardly ever do my nails - they break, tear and split so easily and are usually super short because of that. Now I'm getting age ridges in them and that is making the splitting worse. I love looking at the beautiful art that Suzie does on nails. I don't aspire to being nail tech (heck, I have enough challenges in my day job of bus driver and in my studies to gain a degree to become a librarian), without trying to figure out how to make and keep my nails nice, nor am I all that artistic and being a nail tech requires artistry.
I'd probably say something like, "Oooh, French manis aren't "simple," hon. They can be a bit dicey, and they take longer, which is why they cost XX dollars more." Of course, I'd be very careful with my "tone," keeping it light and breezy with a joking attitude. Most clients would probably opt for a simpler, _cheaper,_ design after that exchange.
Right. I'm a nail technician who was working the dual forms for clients long before they became a thing with a cute polish and I still wasnt fast enough. Lol
Dear Suzie, I have been a fan of yours for a year, I have been doing my own nails from the very first time I saw your videos, I am not a professional but now I get compliments on my nail art , I am legally blind disabled veteran I have no peripheral vision but this nail art has truly given me back my confidence! Thank you 🙏!! Keep up the good job and keep those videos coming! I love them all ! Sincerely your most dedicated fan!
Thank you for your service!! I'm sorry you're legally blind, but sounds like you're doing an awesome job with your nails despite your disability!! That's amazing!! Keep up with the good work!!
It isn't just the hair, your whole vibe is happier and lighter here 😇 maybe the snow IS putting you in a particularly happy mood. Whatever you've been doing, keep doing it 😊
I'm not a nail technician, nor am I planning on becomimg one, and I never wear anything on my nails, but I just love to watch your videos and the whole nail art! Greetings from Croatia!
I wish I could post a pic of how pretty my first attempt at a French smile line came out based on this video!!! I gotta admit that it was super hard, but I didn't give up, and oh my gosh, it was worth it! thank you so much for your videos, I love all your videos because I was able to learn how to do my own nails because of them. thank you, thank you, thank you!
I love hearing your sweetie in the background commenting and answering (I’m assuming the deep voice is your hubby 😅). I love seeing couples support each other in their passions!
You're classy and delightful.I enjoy the elegance in your studio. It is reassuring and inspiring. You teach with confidence and your demeanour is calm.I watch you because you are a master in your craft.I have gained so much nail knowledge but I'm an amateur that is growing because of your Tutorials. You are truly my hero.
Thanks so much for the filing tips, Suzie! I couldn't QUITE figure out why it was taking longer than it should to file that smile line to crispness. Turns out that I've got to be more aware of keeping the file more vertical. Thanks to Cameraman too, bc the shots REALLY helped me pinpoint where I've got to practice more. Thanks again! 🥰
I’m glad you touched on acrylic allergies because I went through nail school and was only working in a salon for a short amount of time, and I already have sensitive skin. But then working with acrylic everyday made my allergy so bad that I would get blisters and break outs on my fingers and hands, even if I used gloves! Unfortunately my nail school only taught acrylic and not gel, so I had to give up doing nails. Now I just polish my own nails and do nail art on myself. It’s a real bummer that I spent all that time and money on nail school, and I can’t do it.
Sammie G _ ouch! I’m so sorry that sounds terrible. BUT you should try out gel! It’s honestly amazing once you practice with it! I’m not sure if with your licenses you have to do specially gel or acrylic, but I would look into gel. There are a lot you can get online, only if you want to still pursue it!
I am a nail tech and I am allergic to hard gel and acrylic and now there are so many options with the new soft gel enhancements. I built my entire clientele on just natural nail manicures and pedicures. Now all these new things are coming out that are making it so much more fun for me. Don’t give up, keep your license current and see what is out there that will work for you. That GelX system can bring in $60+ a set and it soaks off so easily. Don’t give up hope and don’t let that license lapse, you worked way to hard for that. If you ever need to chat just give me a yell.
Sandie Radcliffe Thank you so much for the feedback! I have been keeping my license up to date, and it doesn’t say anything on it saying it’s just for acrylics. To be honest, the school I went to wasn’t the best for education. I might have to try building a clientele with manicures and pedicures like you did because I love doing nail art, that’s why I wanted to go to school. Do you live in a big city? Was it easy to find clients that just wanted natural nails? I live in a very small town, and it seems like everyone goes to the local shops and gets acrylics. It’s all just a little overwhelming.
Sandie Radcliffe also, do you have an Instagram account for your nails? I’d love to see it, and keep in touch. Mine is srg.nails I have just been doing my own manicures and I post pictures of them lol!
I agree with the previous comments, Suzie definitely looks like a fairy godmother and so encouraging and what an amazing educator! Camera Man has the patience of Job! Thank you for these videos.
I love your videos and how real of a person you are. Thank you for not rushing through things so I can understand without having to play back millions of times. I look forward to more videos!!!
The best ASMR channel. Love that there's no music for the most parts and she's saying not to be hard on ourselves. With that soothing voice she can lay me to sleep.
Susie is the only nail tech I give my time to listen too. Iv been in the business 25yrs and haven't seen a nail tech like her. I wish I lived near to get nails done by her
I get compliments all the time on my nails and shock whenever they find out I did them myself. I point everyone to your channel because I learned almost everything from you. Thank you! 🙏🏻❤️
I have to say, Suzie has ruined me watching other nail videos. She's so positive, and an amazing teacher. I wish she would do some classes here in the States. Maybe do a little tour or something 😂. So inspiring!
"You can critique yourself but don't be mean to yourself" best quote and absolutely great advice, something i definitely need to work on. Thank you Susie your channel is amazing.
I love how Suzie emphasizes the balance between being critical of your work and not being mean to yourself ❤️ On top of all her nail know-how, she's a brilliant and effective educator and she's saving me from myself. This year has been really hard for remote learning, but I have Suzie in my head reminding me to recognize my mistakes, learn from them, and move on without beating myself up ❤️❤️
I normally don't like going to get my nails done because I am very picky when it comes to my nails. You are such a good teacher that my confidence of doing my own nails has boosted. I really wish I was closer to you so I could go to you for my nails. Thank you so much for creating this channel.
I have so much love and respect for you Suzie! I started watching When my dog passed away in oct 2018 And I was very affected by her loss. The weeks coming up to and after we had to put her down - I spent a looooot of time watching your videos. The art is phenomenal and your delivery is So soothing. I eventually got tools to learn at home and am in the process of working on my cosmetology license. Nails and makeup are my favorite.... I appreciate all the learning on this channel - you teach more than what they do in school sometimes lol. Thank you & bless you & Cameraman! Y’all rock ❤️❤️❤️
Also💎💎💎💎💎 I’m going to tag you on Instagram on my Birthday nails I just did on myself. I did a polygel enhancement set with glitter inlays and a lot of gems. Lol I went a little Cardi B Stlye crazy haha!! I am learning always but I’m enjoying them & I couldn’t have done them without so much of your fabulous content!!!
yessssss art comes in so many forms i tell people that all the time also say art is also a skill so everyone and i mean everyone can learn art if they so desire. 😊
Thank you, Susie for teaching me so much! I started doing my nails in May of 2022 and I fell in love with it. getting better with every application and love buying new polishes to try!
Suzie you are just a joy and I’m so happy I found your channel last year. I am making my way through all of your videos and I love every single one of them. I just renewed my license today and couldn’t believe it has been 16 years doing a job I still love and can learn from everyday. I hope you have a wonderful weekend!
I've been watching your videos for a long time now. I've gotten my nails done at a couple places just a few times. (I used to wear the plastic glue on nails) But I'm OBSESSED with nails and nail art. I LOVE LOVE LOVE watching your videos. You are very talented and yet humble and I admire that. 😁 Can't wait for the next video!! 😁😍😊
Listening to Susie's kind encouragement over progress in her art so reminds me of learning painting--the medium and skill is a bit different (both with brushes!) but the progress is just the same. Bless you, Susie, for your compassionate teaching.
Suzie. You are my absolute favourite nail channel on the internet!!! You make everything so simple, Thankyou!!! I follow everything you do! And you have made nail art less scary!. A real pro! Keep the videos coming!!
You are just a ray of sunshine in the darkest times. I just love hearing you speak ❤ thank you for being so detailed in your teachings. You have taught me more in 3 videos than Iv learned in the 368 or so youtube videos I have watched these past couple weeks. I will be a faithful subscriber. Never stop being you, you are awesome!!!!
I am not a nail professional...but I love to see the artistry and techniques used from your years of experience. I must say that I love the videos that involve acrylic builds as apposition to gel. Also, the camera work is amazing. Thank you for all your nail educational videos!
Suzie I love your videos so much! Your whole philosophy about art being affected by mood as well as being critical with your art while not being unkind to yourself, so moving and inspirational to see!
I love how you pointed out your favorite apexes lol! I do the same thing with my nails too. I’ll look at one or 2 as the ones I love and some which I feel could have been better. Thank you for this tutorial and reminding me not to be too hard on myself and to remember that this is an art-form.
Hello susie,I'm from Alberta Canada..an hour away from Edmonton... I'm so happy I found your channel.. you are a beautiful soul.. and have so much patience... I'm 49,I've always loved to do nails.. I've never went to school for it. But I just do them on myself... love you.. my favorite nails were the yellow ones with flowers.. I like my nails very long.. and my favorite shape is that very square nail.. they use to call them a duck nail.. you've must of heard of them... .🙂♥️
I love you guys! I have an art background so I wanted to share a thought about the acetone and the brush. The reason why people say not to use acetone is because there is glue in the brush- where the hair meets the barrel. So it’s best not to leave it in long enough or deep enough for the acetone to break apart the glue or the hairs will come out!
Hi I’ve been watching your channel for a long time! I’m getting acrylics of of wish! I’m so excited thank you for all your help to guide me on how I put on the acrylic because I’m a new at it😁💅🏻thank you so much!
I've been watching this channel since before I even had a single thought of becoming a nail tech (I was thinking to be a veterinarian, but decided a nail tech would maybe be better mentally and physically). Glad I discovered this channel.
Oh Susie , so pretty . So much has changed since this video . My daughters and I have been obsessed with your videos . You are just across the straight from us we are in Sechelt. We hope you are safe with camera man and still as sweet. If this thing ever ends we would love to have a nail party with you one day 💗💗🎉🇨🇦
Can’t wait to try this technique! I have done French the old way for 24years and am excited to learn something new!! Keep up with the great content!! I would love to attend one of yiur education classes but am in Ontario so I really appreciate your hard work putting these videos out! Thank you 😊🙏
Beautiful end result. I remember having French manicures done often in the 90s, but it was always a solid color acrylic nail that was painted French with polish, and unfortunately, the edges always wore off. This version is much more elegant and longer-lasting. Great job as always.
I love your videos and the fun relationship between you and cameraman always makes me smile. Both of you seem to have such good lighthearted temperaments and I love it. I do my own nails, as it saves money for my family and I love watching your videos and learning
Suzie these nails are beautiful as always!!! I love how much you love doing nails!!! Also, I just love watching your videos!!! Not only for the nails..You and Cameraman make me smile!! I’ve been polishing my nails like you since I was 6 years old! Playing with my mom and grandmas polish any chance I had I was hooked hard!! After having my nails done in a salon for the last 25 years, I stopped about 8 months ago. Every salon I went to the tech was always in such a hurry to get to the next client. So..after watching all of your videos, I ordered a Makartt poly gel set and everything I’ll need from Amazon!! I’ve listened carefully to your recommendations for DIY’ers!! I decided the poly gel and dual forms will be the easiest to start. At 54, I have a lot of learning to do!! 😱 The thing I love is you’ve taught me to not be hard on myself and it’s ok to make mistakes. I have to learn if I want to do them myself right? Btw, not doing a reverse french my first time lol I’ll be happy to just have them look decent!! Thanks for being such a great teacher and for your inspiration 💖 Wish me luck 😬
I LOVE the foils on your other hand! And you stuck with square for awhile, I love square on you! I just ordered and got in a great kit with foils and foil glue from Makartt, giving me inspiration for my next set and it's about that time 💅🏽 Love you Suzie!!
I've been doing nails for over 20 yrs and specialize in pink & whites, I'm used to doing it the original way too. Still trying to get in the hang of doing it the reverse way😊 Thank you for the video!❤
It is okay not to be perfect! I am a perfectionist by nature, and it took me more than 30 years of my life to deal with that quirk. It's good to have an eye to spot the differences and imperfections, but we also have to embrace and like them for the uniqueness! Thank you for this wonderful message at the end. I did my first gel nails the other day (an upgrade from doing gel polish at home since the pandemic), and this is just what I needed. I've been looking at my nails judging every single one of them, being impatient to give it another go in a few weeks. But I am also aware that it was my first time, and that I have to let go of my perfectionist side.
Susie I have been watching u for so long. I myself and have been practicing my own nails but others to I have a part time job of being a nail tech and love it,even if my clients do get anger at the job i do. I am still trying and love your channel . I am just fascinated with your channel that it inspired me. So thank u Susie.😁
Lol, I always thought you put your files and brush in that tube for this specific purpose! 😁 And as for the shape, I've heard it called an "Almondetto", which I think is *perfect!*
Ms. Suzie!! You are so talented and amazing!! I have learned so much about nails and how to do new techniques from you. I wish to one day be a Nail Technician as talented as you!!! I had dreamt about doing nails since I was 10 years old. And I have been watching you forever. I wish I could get your product and learn from you, I know one day I will be able to!! I hope for that blessing!! Hope you continue doing this for a lot longer time!! Stay healthy and happy!! Happy new year
The longer this channel goes on the more Susie looks like our Fairy Godmother. 100% okay with this.
Christine Anderson I was just thinking this. Plus she’s so encouraging it’s like thank you
She sure does doesn't she and her soothing voice it just captures our attention. I love the way she teaches. :)
So true and her background looks like she lives in a fairy house
Hahaha accurate!
I was just thinking she looks like Mrs.clause

OMG I just LOVE Suzie's hair like that :)
She looks so beautiful and so adorable!
She is no nonsence, get right to it. She has natural talent..A beautiful artist, and cameraman adds a funny addendum.
Suzie is giving her Queen vibes 🫅

Right. I'm a nail technician who was working the dual forms for clients long before they became a thing with a cute polish and I still wasnt fast enough. Lol
Its because most nail techs do it with polish/ spray gun and not actual acrylic.. I'd love to find a tech that does

yessssss art comes in so many forms i tell people that all the time also say art is also a skill so everyone and i mean everyone can learn art if they so desire. 😊
Susie is my go to chill mode. In times like these thank you for being so sweet and someone that is super encouraging.
I love the way you show and explain in great detail the best and easiest way to do your nails at home. Thank you Susie, Melbourne Australia
Awww thank you thats sweet
You're a nail genius! Love watching your videos! 🥰🤗
Such Beautiful Work!!!! Outstanding !!!!!!
Listening to Susie's kind encouragement over progress in her art so reminds me of learning painting--the medium and skill is a bit different (both with brushes!) but the progress is just the same. Bless you, Susie, for your compassionate teaching.
Don't be hard on yourself...I love the nail art, but I really love to hear someone tell me that! Thank you Suzie!
Your nails are so beautiful. Gorgeous shape and structure . Thank you for the hard work you and cameraman put into sharing these videos.
Suzie. You are my absolute favourite nail channel on the internet!!! You make everything so simple, Thankyou!!! I follow everything you do! And you have made nail art less scary!. A real pro! Keep the videos coming!!

I love Suzie's positive encouragement throughout. Such a great teacher!
THAT HAIR!! It's so classic and romantic!! You should do a video on your favorite styles
Those are my Favorite Color Ever.Fabolously.Amazing ❣️❣️❣️❣️
I love everything about this channel
Suzie I love your videos so much! Your whole philosophy about art being affected by mood as well as being critical with your art while not being unkind to yourself, so moving and inspirational to see!
You are the best,,,,I love watching your videos !! Thank you 🤗👏👍❤️💯💥
I love how you pointed out your favorite apexes lol! I do the same thing with my nails too. I’ll look at one or 2 as the ones I love and some which I feel could have been better. Thank you for this tutorial and reminding me not to be too hard on myself and to remember that this is an art-form.
She breaks things down and explains it so well👌🏾
Hello susie,I'm from Alberta Canada..an hour away from Edmonton...

I ❤️ those nails Suzie! Thank you for share all your secrets, you’re the best! 😊
This is gorgeous. I have searched for a long time to find someone as talented in the field as you. I can't do nails anymore because my hands shake. :)
Omg Suzie I love you sooooo much you awesome you should do a heart or red and pink valentines day manicure!!!!!
Looking forward to another year of time with Susie and Camera man !!!!🤗🤗🤗
I've been watching this channel since before I even had a single thought of becoming a nail tech (I was thinking to be a veterinarian, but decided a nail tech would maybe be better mentally and physically). Glad I discovered this channel.
Wow that is exciting - good for you - im here for you with every video i make
I haven’t worn acrylics in years and I certainly don’t do acrylics on anyone else, but I love this channel and I love Suzie!
Oh Susie , so pretty . So much has changed since this video . My daughters and I have been obsessed with your videos . You are just across the straight from us we are in Sechelt. We hope you are safe with camera man and still as sweet. If this thing ever ends we would love to have a nail party with you one day 💗💗🎉🇨🇦
Its a date neighbour. ❤️
Thank you Suzie. Beautiful!
Looking gorgeous Suzie, awesome video 👍🏻
I can't say it enough. Suzie you are awesome. Love your tutorial videos
You're taking the frustration level down a million notches learning French. Thanks❤️
Can’t wait to try this technique! I have done French the old way for 24years and am excited to learn something new!! Keep up with the great content!! I would love to attend one of yiur education classes but am in Ontario so I really appreciate your hard work putting these videos out! Thank you 😊🙏
Suzie you didn’t use top coat. Incredible I bought your products. I learn every time how to use them. Beautiful 💕❤️
Still trying to get in the hang of doing it the reverse way😊 Thank you for the video!❤
me: *is hard on mysef*
suzie: *busts through the wall* I SAID DONT BE HARD ON YOURSELF
Susie, you are just so wonderful! I'm addicted to your videos and I don't even do acrylic nails!
You are so good and I love your nails, videos and techniques.👌🏼👌🏼👌🏼
Gorgeous Mrs. Suzie I love them luv thanks for sharing and showing much love always 💅💕💕💕
Happy 2020 wishing you and of course cameraman health and happiness. Absolutely love your videos. Xxx
Love you Suzie, all the way from The Bahamas.
Absolutely Gorgeous!
The way you explain things is awesome...
Thanks Suzie 🤩
Love your hair and nails!!!💜💖💜
Looking super cute! From your pretty make up to the messy bun/updo. I think pink is your color!
I miss these kind of videos. Just relaxing and watching you build nails. ❤️
