Exactly. "Bigger Than The Devil" was good. But, it was nowhere near being on the same level. Leave S.O.D. dead. Fuck the people yelling about bringing them back.
@@88skisupreme WRONG again. You have just totally missed the point. It's supposed to trigger people and you got sucked in. Mass hypnosis by political correctness strikes again. It really is fucking ruining the planet.
The Ritz, 1992, Live at Budokon was one of the sickest concerts I've ever been to. I was at Lamour in Brooklyn and seen many, many bands but this SOD show blew everyone away!
I was there too! The video cut out something I'd never seen before.. There was a skinhead that ran about 3/4 of the way across the room on top of peoples heads! They also cut out Billy's 10 minute come apart.. but hey.. It was still a great show! lol!
According to Billy Milano he won't do any shows with Scott and Charlie because he thinks they are douchebags and they are douchebags to the fans. Which they really are. So they'll NEVER be any SOD reunions.
I was over years disappointed that nothing came behind seargant D...... but i hear this LP today as one of a few of the old musik i can always hear-iam in an bad mude-hear this....done-go on again-and nowdays I am 50 there i was 16 years old punkrockHC in Germany! Greetings to u all!
S.O.D. was an EPIC side project, and I agree that it should have stayed a little more UTR. Still though I listen to March of the S.O.D. and United Forces today so there was something bigger there than was intended.
Was at the Ritz for live at Budakon. That show was the most intense shit I've ever seen. Went weekly to Lamours in Bay Ridge and seen hundreds of bands but nothing comes close to the intensity that night with SOD. When Billy did a stage dive ontop of those stacks, I knew we were in for a fuckin crazy night!
Anthrax is a awesome band but ide have preferd sod over anthrax. The style of metal and the way he sang the songs was amazing and to this day still one of my faverit bands and will always be on my play list
You can obviously tell he’s worried about backlash from some of the songs. I don’t play it in front of people myself. I randomly heard S.O.D playing in literally the south side neighborhood of Chicago by black and Mexican guy. I had to say something. Been friends till this day.
Speak English Or Die and Bigger Than The Devil are amazing and funny album. The jokes are both funny and brutally tough. Sargent D is an awesome mascot which proves that you don't need to have a tough and mascular mascot. Even Anthrax have Not Man and he is also a funny fat man mascot. The Not Man and Sargent D are awesome. 😂
Yeah some shows were not packed when SOD went around the second time during the Bigger Than The Devil tour but when was the last time ANTHRAX did a Headlining Tour??? Shit they are always the Special Guest on tours, I seen em in 1988 opening for KISS and saw them opening for countless bands until recently!!!
I love Bigger Than The Devil a lot 💯💯💯💯Speak English is a classic but the second album is amazing as well!! Never got to see them. In 1999 they played Toronto and I found out about it 2 days later. I’m still mad about that shit. Instead of the second time around in 2000 they shoulda focused on places they didn’t go to the first time.
You did it and it was great !! If idiots misinterpret it, f -them it was awesome-no regrets bro (I friggin love that first album to this day)🤘🏾🤘🏾🤘🏾🤘🏾🤘🏾🤘🏾🤘🏾🤘🏾🤘🏾🤘🏾
I totally understand Scot. What made Speak English or Die great is that it was made out of fun which means no preasure which means free creativility and love of playing which carries into the music. It would be like SOD being the main money maker and Antrax being the side project fun band. One has to be sacrificed...bye Anthrax! 👹 jk.............😏
Speak English or Die is up there with some of the best metal albums ever made. Might even be the best - it still sounds amazing now. But I am afraid the lyrics are indeed dodgy in places even though I get it's meant to be a bit of frivolity.
Should have kept it at that first absolute CLASSIC of an album. Everything since has been S**T ! HE even hints at that in the 1999-video tour. DONT RUIN THE LEGACY!
I re recorded a re rerere re re re x 36?? Copy of S.O.D when I was about 13yrs ish living in Casper Wyoming it freaking helped so much with who n what I am. That album gets you beat up by punks in LA
}People thought we were racists, and they were stupid."
Truer words have never been spoken.
Then Billy did MOD and it WAS racist.
88skisupreme WRONG. It is the same humour as the S.O.D record.
maybe it was SUPPOSED to be the same but it didn't work. N bomb dropping didn't help. Also Milano is a rightwinger, so its not a joke anymore.

Not sure why Scott never realized S.O.D. was the better band, but then again, Billy looks like the kind of guy you take in doses, lol.
I'm probably more into punk/crossover stuff than metal, but no way SOD is better than classic Anthrax.
@@dr.juerdotitsgo5119 that’s the beauty of opinions. Everyone is entitled to one.

SOD was the better band because we only got two albums. It’s possible it would have gone down hill if they kept it going
