Love the 9D Gym. I was a member while living in Udon last year. The locker rooms have both a dry and steam sauna. Also for 120 baht the breakfast buffet was pretty good.

hey man lose the kingsford starter fluid and get a chimney starter. you'll have awesome hot coals in like 12 minutes with no fluid smell. charcoal on side, stuff some newspaper on the bottom. light the newspaper. its great!
Great video again Chuck, that Hotel/Fitness center looked very nice and equipped! We will have to check it out if we make it up there. When filming in the Villa Marker you were moving a little too fast with the camera, is was so hard to see all the prices and variety of items. I was trying to see what they had in stock on the upper 2 shelves of the bourbon and whiskey isle. Even on rewind and pause it was still difficult. I can't believe how much of a mark up or import tax they put on American whiskey and other items. What cosst $20 in USA is 3-4 times higher there. Just think if USA did that on imports from Thailand, which would be fair...but they would never sell. For example a bag of rice from Thailand cost $10 USD, should it carry a import tax raising it to $30 or $40? I think its just too one sided on that and no one ever mentions it or attempts to change it. This is how CHINA got over for so many decade! Any who, take care and keep up with the great videos! 11 more months or less, we will be there....Hopefully!
Beautiful pool and garden what a place to stay ....cant wait come back for me England not the place I grew up anymore too.....hate it here London it makes me depressed....I pray every day get back Thailand soon for a month it's the only place I get peace of mind.
Nice place Udon . I like the past hotel the gym is so nice it looks like it’s for members from outside guest too. I don’t when I can come back . I had booked for July but Thai Airways Vance all the flights for a July so i rebooked for August I hope I can come back in August.
Nice to see Udon at the moment. I have eaten in the Good Corner a thousand times before. Nice owner and good food however just around the corner in Soi Farang is The Brick House restaurant which is 1st class. Give it a try sometime, you won't be disappointed

I was very surprised to see those frozen Tina burritos shown at 11:24. They are nothing compared to a real, home-made Mexican burrito. However, if you have a craving for a burrito and want a cheap snack they’re ok. Sometimes you can get 4 for $1.00 here in the US. Just pop it in the micro for about a minute and it’s ready. I guess if you’re far away from home, these frozen burritos will do unless, of course, you make your own flour tortillas or find a decent Mexican restaurant in a foreign country.
As for redwine in Thailand we always go and plunder family marts and 7 elevens for Peter Vella smooth red. It's about 400 baht pr bottle, but it's actually quite ok imo. Fruity but you can drink it even if it's 35 degrees hot. Bob Saget!! i want Peter Vella now at the beach in Thailand :)
That Villa Market was huge. I got one just 3 klicks along the main road. But it's mini style compared with the Udon one. Our Villa is well stocked as are all the local shops like Makro and Tesco Lotus. Trouble with Villa shopping is the bill. I take friends visiting us to the Villa and they buy lots .... then comes the bill... gulp.
Hey Chuck The menu in the restaurant includes a lot of Danish words describing the pork sandwich (flaeskesteg) and the meatball (frikadeller). So this is probably owned by a Danish married Thai lady. I believe Crunchips is a German chip brand, you might want to ask Foreigner Joe. Orangina is also popular there.

Vegemite is called marmite in England and you have to put loads of butter on your toast ,or preferably crumpets,enough for it to run down your chin,and a thin layer of marmite or vegemite,trust me it's delicious 😉😉👍👍 !
