I’ve been wearing engineer boots for about 3-4 years. Love them. I wear Wesco with the MP toe last. Which is a sleek square toe shape. Absolutely love them. Always hesitated with wearing cowboy boots but I get so many compliments with my Wesco sand many think they are cowboy boots. Seen about 3 Rios of Mercedes that I’ve been really interested in purchasing. This video helped me with taking the plunge into the cowboy boot world. Good thing I live in a farming town so won’t look as odd 😂
That’s awesome Rod I’m glad that this was helpful. Wesco with Mp toe was my first laceless boot. They helped pave the way for cowboy boots for me. Rios strike a good balance and a halfway point from a true true cowboy to an engineer
@@trinityhandmade3864 any suggestion on sizing? Should I take my same MP last size? I see some online say to size up a half size while others say go true to your sneaker size. I plan on wearing without the cushion insole
I just purchased the Goat Roper a few days ago after seeing the photos of a pair of a buddy of mines on SDP. Then today this was a suggested video for me here, lol..great review, super excited to be receiving my pair this week. Rios needs to make more of this Roper style, tough find!

Is it common for cowboy boots to be on the stitchdown construction? I tent to think most of them were goodyear welt. Those goat skin look great.

how does sizing work
Do you ever miss the instep strap? Do you think it'd ever come in handy?
On these no not at all, the instep is snug but not uncomfortable. Heel slip is minimal, the strap would do nothing for the fit on these boots
