I used CLR on my heater core while in dash. It worked great and opened it and now heat and free flow of fluid. No harm. Big chunks of junk blew out. Just flush really good.
Love this video series on fixing up the forklift. Looks like you're making good progress. She's going to be a valuable asset to the shop and time saver moving stuff around.
Derek I bet you were 1 of those kids who would get a new bike then pull it apart & strip a computer console to see how it works 😂😂😂 youve destroyed a working forklift 😂😂 you can't help yourself, I love it though, it's so funny, hello again from Bonnie Scotland, great to see steve back, I could tell you missed him
The evaporust is some good stuff but a couple other products I like for rust treatment and prevention is ospho rust remover and a product I was turned on to a couple years ago called corrosionX. P.S Im sure you probably already know this but if you put brass under a large gap you are welding it will help fill in the gap and you can slide the brass out once you get it to a point you can weld normally
The bigger the heat difference is between the block and the water, the faster the heat transfer goes. So the faster the flow, the better the cooling works.
You could call a radiator shop and see if they stil caustic cleaning of a radiator, that will make it look like new and then they paint it black. Also they might have a listing for a new core, should be cheaper then a new one.
HI, BIG KID IF YOU DRILL AN 1/2 TO 1 INCH HOLE IN MIDDLE OF BOTH YOUR FORKS ABOUT 6 TO 8 INCHES, THEN PUT NUT & BOLT, TO STOP CHAIN, WIRE FROM SLIPPING, WHEN NOT USING FOR LIFTING JUST TAKE NUTS BOLT OUT, THEN RESUME NORMAL FORKLIFT. OPERATIONS CHEERS PETE
Take a four blade fan and remove one blade bolt it to a drum large enough to hold the radiator. Immerse the radiator in the drum with cleaner turn the fan on you now have an electro sonic cleaner.
Dude you left us hanging need to see what went on next awesome episode brother
Next vid coming soon.
@ProjectShopFl fingers crossed it all went well

The wheels ordeal would've made a great video series showing the machining etc. Love watching all the stuff you do.
I was gonna video it but I had to leave

The lift may have the same engine as a small Nissan truck, like a frontier or something similar.
Thanks for the suggestion
What website did you find for the forklift parts? I just got a new shop and there's an old forklift in there i want to get running
He punched in the number on one of the stickers and it brought him to the website
Liftpartswharehouse.com
What sucks is once you start fixing stuff everything starts going
I've got a nice list going for it. lol But it's been working great so far
I don't know why, but I would start with the brakes. Obviously, by washing and rewashing, your forklift will lose weight.😆
Thanks, I am working on the breaks next. lol
