I think you're going to be the first person on TH-cam who will compare all 3 ECUs for this bike. Should bring in a lot of views. Good work and look forward to the test!
For the speeds and the conditions you ride, you can leave it in stock form and save your money. Not being mean, just saying the Honda works well in stock form. IMO
I went with the aim and should have my switch this weekend. Too bad it didn't get here sooner as I stalled and cased a jump on the CRF450RL. Got 3 more weeks of quiet contemplation lol.
@@BornAGoon just sturdy protection, seat concepts, flex bars, and tail tidy. While I'm laid up a rekluse radius cx is getting set up on it. I normally do all my own work but kneeling and crouching are O U T right now.
Just got my GET in to my exc 500. Texting it out tomorrow, but was pretty disappointed to find out the WiGet app only shows diagnostic info for Suzukis. Just TPS position…. No temp or rpm or anything.
@@sHuff16 the JD only helps the stock ECU it doesn’t fix it. For some folks the JD works fine but for most the only way to fix it is to change out the ECU for one of the above. I am running stock exhaust and airbox. I am running the Vortex. Gone are the pops and backfires and it definitely runs cooler too. Best wishes with the Vortex. Please let me know what you think.
@@christopherhamm1574 I have the Yoshi RS-4 full system and the air box lid off . I’m excited and hopeful this will fix the popping and keep the exhaust a little cooler . I will definitely keep you all updated !
Thanks for your videos! I purchased the GET for my 22 RL from Taco Mike. Did you have yours re-flashed when you went from stock exhaust to an aftermarket exhaust?
Alrighty. So did they give you the GET flashed for the stock exhaust? I was going to throw the fmf on , and Mike told me it was only set up for the stock exhaust.
Doug, What gear did you ride most of this? 1st gear offroad on my stock 22 RL is pretty bad/unrideable/would rather take a different bike... On pavement my RL has a sweet spot in every gear past half throttle that it does not vibrate as much. Seems like either the bars vibrate or the pegs. Does the get smooth out the vibration on pavement too?
I had the get ECU in I believe I did the whole thing in 3rd I may have downshifted a time or 2 into 2nd You can watch my ECU review about the GET th-cam.com/video/OwBtI7HkA6A/w-d-xo.html Wouldnt be able to do that with the stock ecu it would stall Gotta have an ECU for the 450RL
When setting up my AIM on the app it’s giving me 2 options for my bike one for the 450r and one for the 450rx since it’s a rl I am confused on what one to choose what option did you choose? Also it’s giving me tunes for different conditions ( wet flat hard packed etc.) what map do you usually run?
I did the AiM and I like it but I have a dead spot in the power band at a low-mid RPM. Can anyone tell me if they’ve experienced that with the AiM? The bike didn’t do that before. I’m second guessing my purchase and now I’m thinking of going with the Athena…
I do not, but you can adjust the mid-range if you have the switch Also how long have you had the AiM and where did you buy it My AiM cam is from Taco Moto which has their maps in it, and they work very good
@@BornAGoon I’ve had it for about two months or so. The switch wasn’t available when I purchased it but I just got talking with Mike and he’s going to send me a modified MAP to dump more fuel at that RPM range. The customer service makes it worth every penny.

Thanks! Really looking forward to the shootout.
No problem 👍 and thanks for watching
Dang! You got all the ECUs going! Nice job, im interested what you think.
They are awesome units but there is one that really stands out

Do you have any other mods on the bike

Bro you’re killing me. I just installed the AIM because of your video. Do I need to get an Athena now?!?
I bought the AiM too and love it but this GET is downright awesome Wait for the shoot out I do here in the next week to decide
Damn what camera do u use btw? Super smooth
Thanks I just bought the Insta One RS This is my first off road filming with it Now if I can fix the mic lol
I gotta ask what camera you're using? That footage is sooo smooth.
Its an insta one RS
My vortex finally shipped today (ordered march 29) will be here Thursday!
Thats awesome You will notice quite a difference
@@BornAGoon I have the JD Jetting kit on it now and it definitely made a difference, but it still has a backfire issue and runs pretty hot .

Who among us doesn't enjoy a blumpy on a Vegas morning.....
I would have prefered the blumpy over the ride

Just use other and type in 450 Only the 2 maps from Taco work on the bike the factory maps do not work

Whats seem to be the major difference in all of them?
I just did a full review on all 3 ECUs th-cam.com/video/OwBtI7HkA6A/w-d-xo.html
Has anyone had any issues with the athena get ecu
